Public Speaking

I could have appeared in court today, but declined the brief due to a prior public speaking engagement. Among the choices of home working, public speaking and court appearance, I feel that public speaking is probably a good mix between leisurely work in private and hectic work in court.
My public speaking invitations come from different hosts in Hong Kong and elsewhere. Some hosts have the public interest in mind and I do not mind doing the voluntary work. There are a few that advance both public and private values, and they treat me generously voluntarily.
And whenever and wherever I have spoken, I always get a couple more invitations. I was particularly impressed with a die-hard fan from Xian who invited me twice with an excellent package, but I declined twice due to clash of schedules. She said she would try again in 2019!
Having spoken today, I got many encouraging feedback from the audience. Eg "Really appreciate your humour and insightful sharing. Hope we would have a chance to invite you to be our speaker one day!" While born-speaking is a lie, public speaking skills are learnable, if you try!
