INT. SUBWAY CAR - DAY

Crowded car with signs in simplified Chinese characters. PETER is standing. As passengers get off at a stop, the 1st OLD WOMAN signals to Peter to get the vacant seat next to her.

PETER

(Awkwardly shaking his head sideways)

Thanks. I'm getting off at the next

station...

Peter anxiously waits and gets off as soon as the door is open.

INT. LIFT - DAY

Looking at a lift mirror with a bag in hand, Peter notices that the short-sleeve windbreaker he is wearing is inside out. As he is changing, the lift stops and an OLD MAN and the 2nd OLD WOMAN step inside.

PETER

(Still re-wearing his windbreaker) Good morning! Going to tea?

1st OLD MAN

Yes, for a change. We have had oatmeal for breakfast for several

days already.

PETER

Wow, oatmeal! That's very healthy!

Noting Peter's windbreaker collar not standing up, the 2nd OLD WOMAN helps Peter put it right as the 1st OLD MAN looks on.

2nd OLD WOMAN

Going to swim?

Peter nods, smiles and parts the couple as the lift door opens again.

EXT. PARK - DAY

Peter sees the 2nd OLD MAN with a kid in his strong arms. They greet each other.

PETER

Taking care of your grandchild!

2nd OLD MAN

Yes, the young ones are busy. Going

to swim?

PETER

Yes. Have you done yours?

2nd OLD MAN

The water is pretty cool now. I

often swim over an hour a day.

A pause.

2nd OLD MAN

(Continued)

Enjoying a good life?

PETER

Yes, I choose to be as happy

as I can be.

2nd OLD MAN

Travelling?

PETER

(Nodding)

My monthly routine.

2nd OLD MAN

I want to go somewhere - for

fun as well as business.

At a crossroads, Peter waves goodbye to the 2nd Old Man and his grandchild.

INT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - DAY

Elderly crowd the pool. Peter does push-ups, over 64 times, before getting into it. He swims in different strokes - breast, free, back or butterfly - for many laps, discreetly avoiding collisions. Then, he rests by the poolside.

PETER

(Voice Over)

People can see I'm not young.

The ones I see are health-conscious.

The ones I know of are very kind to

me. Now, I won't hurry away the

good moments!

Peter smiles and looks good.
