Dark Side of the Moon?

FADE IN:

INT. LIBRARY - DAY

Quiet and cosy. PETER reads newspapers and looks up from time to time.

PETER (V.O.)

Where was I at 10.26, Thursday,

Jan 3, 2019, Beijing time?

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

My wife and I arrived at the top

floor of the Nu Sentral shopping

mall, KL and I began taking

photos of a restaurant as I meant

to write a review about it.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

That's when China's spacecraft

Chang'e 4 landed on target on the far side of the moon...

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

(Nodding)

Like Earth, half of the Moon is

always lit by the Sun, although

a Moon day is about 29 Earth

days long. It was around 09:00

when Chang'e landed.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

It's really great to do something

hard and new for humanity!

INT. CLUB HOUSE - DAY

As he reads newspapers, his eyes turn wide open.

PETER (V.O.)

I recognized the blockchained

fintech trend in the IP context

and encouraged stakeholders

to secure coin offerings with IP.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

When I first thought about it

in 2017 and shared the concept

in a forum full of token speculators,

I believed any IP-backed tokens

should capture and deliver

distinct value in any fin-tech

private/public equity funding

business models.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

It's revealing to read a study

report that 71% of 141-ICO

funded start-ups launched in

2017 had failed to bring any

product to the market... There

are however IPs that have not

been commercially exploited.

Pausing.

PETER (V.0.) (Cont'd)

If investors want short-term

returns, to invest in IP-backed

security tokens should be a

quick and predictable way

than investing in start-ups that

might create or innovate any IP.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

That's why I shared my new

dream publicly in the BIP Asia

Forum 2018 to establish an

IP-based Capital Market in the

Greater Bay Area... I'm glad to

read that Hong Kong might become a base at least to

launch some security token

offerings.

Peter reads another column.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

The author thinks knowledge,

technology and know-how is

more valuable than gold... He

is actually talking about IP!

I share the same message

when I spoke in Shanghai last

Christmas Eve.

FLASHBACK

INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

Peter discusses solemnly with a LADY (50s) and a GENTLEMAN (50s).

PETER

...That's my new dream. Since

your firm does IPOs via KL, perhaps

you might take that into account

and play a role along the

Maritime Road...

The lady and gentleman look impressed.

END FLASHBACK

INT. STUDY - DAY

Peter works on his computer.

PETER (V.O.)

A proverb that has been inspiring

me is: "Aim for the moon, even if

you miss, you'll still be among the

stars." China has somewhat realized

the space dream of humanity.

Hand on cheek, Peter looks dreamy.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

I believe my IP/FinTech goal will

make the world go round in a safe

and profitable fashion for centuries

to come. The dark or far side of the

moon can be bright!

FADE OUT. The End
