KAJI wakes up in bed. PETER rolls over. Kaji gently jumps out of bed.
KAJI (V.O.)
Oh, the door is open. He
doesn't have to wake up
to open the door for me.
Kaji is hesitant to go out.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd) I don't feel any urge to go
to the toilet. If I go out, he
might think I want to be
left alone.
Kaji stays by the door.
KAJI(V.O.) (Cont'd)
As he's still sleeping, I won't
make any noise.
A beat.
KAJI (V.O,)(Cont'd)
Am I waiting for something
that's not going to happen?
Kaji looks a little restless.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd)
I hate waiting. But I've patience
waiting for you.

INT. SLEEPING ROOM -NIGHT
As he lies down in bed, Kaji jumps up to Peter's side and licks his lips, nose and eyelids many times lovingly. Having shown her respect and affection, Kaji retreats comfortably to her bed spot to sleep.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Getting out of bed, Peter sees Kaji waiting by the door.
PETER Good girl! You've been
waiting here without
making any noise!
Peter goes to the toilet. Kaji opens the half-closed toilet door with her nose, checks and then retreats.
KAJI (V.O.)
Don't take too long, I'm
still waiting outside. Getting the message, Peter quickly finishes his routines. We hear him speaking in a loud voice to the MAID outside. . PETER Prepare breakfast for
me now!
MAID (O.S.)
Yes!
Kaji gets excited.
KAJI (V.O.) Yes! Breakfast for me now!
INT- SITTING ROOM - DAY
Kaji escorts Peter to the table. She and Peter take their seats. The maid puts bread and jam on the table.
KAJI (V.O.) I know my table manners. I'll
wait for the right moments
to act.
Peter breaks the bread piece by piece and shares them with Kaji in turns. They both look contented, for a while. Then, only one piece is left. PETER Kaji, last one.
Kaji looks at Peter earnestly. Peter pretends he is having it.
KAJI (V.O.)
No! I must have it...
PETER
Yes, I know. Your eyes
say it!
Peter gives Kaji the last piece. Finishing it, Kaji looks at the empty plate. PETER (Cont'd) (Showing his hands) No more!
Kaji licks Peter's hands lovingly. KAJI (V.O.)
I choose to wait for you
every morning. I don't
want anyone else!
