FADE IN:

EXT. ROAD - DAY

Sitting inside a bus, PETER reads an article on his phone screen.

PETER (V.O.)

Sleep deprivation is killing

you...

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Who would care about

the threat if they believe

they've all the time in

the world?

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)

As the cream of the crop

is in abundance, one way

to have an edge is to

sleep less, trying to

achieve more.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

. I won't sleep much if I

need to squeeze the

time to meet assignment

deadlines.

Peter reads on.

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)

Killing your career too?

...Affect one's ability to

focus...that's true. This

is especially so if one

needs to make high-

level analysis. I also

find myself pretty

creative if I sleep well.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

But would the professionals

like doctors and lawyers

believe sleep deprivation

would actually kill their

career?

Peter reads further on.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Ah! This scare tactic is good... Sleep deprivation will

make one fat! Sleeping less

impacts on our body ability.

We tend to eat more but

the body can't burn the

calories.

Peter shares the article with a chat group with his face in the group's photo icon.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Hope they've the time to

read it.

INT. STUDY - DAY

Working on his computer, Peter is distracted by the TV feature about work life in Japan.

PETER (V.O.)

Some wish to die every

day? Oh, an advertising

girl killed herself days after

a 20-hour work day?

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

I had a good friend who

killed himself too because

work.

Peter sighs.

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)

Yes, if we think we live to work.

But all things must pass.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

We should just work to live.

. We capture, create and

deliver value so that we

can put food on the table

and have a shelter under

our head...

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)

I know it's easier said

than done.

Staring at his image in a wall mirror, Peter ponders.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

I'm still vigilant having

worked for over 40 years...

INT. CHAMBERS - NIGHT

Peter is alone, reading the small prints of a thick white book. His phone clock displays 22:30. He sends a message: "I'm still in chambers. I'm not hungry."

EXT. TRAIN CAR - NIGHT

With a thick white book in hand, Peter flips through the pages and reads some small prints.

INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT

Opening the main door, Peter sees his WIFE having dinner and the table clock displaying 23:15. .

PETER (V.O.)

Oh my god, she's still

having dinner... We've

dinner around 22:00.

We're particularly late

tonight.

Peter quickly joins her.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Our younger son and

daughter are studying

overseas...And we can

only sleep in the small

hours of the morning.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Yes, all things must

pass!

Peter looks positive.
