The people of Hong Kong includes the silent majority who are content with Hong Kong's civil, political, economic, social and cultural developments.
Generations of Hongkongers have worked hard and smart to bring about Hong Kong's stability and prosperity, and the one country, two systems.
What Hong Kong as a friend in need is to maintain law and order, sustaining its stability and prosperity so that all Hongkongers would not suffer.
For the West to intervene will be doing a great disservice to Hong Kong, adding fuel to fire. Silence between the West and Hong Kong can be comfortable.
