FADE IN.
EXT. ROAD - DAY
Coming out from a court building, PETER in suit takes a photo of it and poses it on Google Maps.
PETER (V.O.)
My first assignment here
was done. It might be
difficult for people to find
this court building.
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
Food is being put on the table, Peter continues to watch a TV documentary. We hear images on the screen saying: Take good care of yourself.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)
This is the first time I
see moving images of
social workers engaging
the young before the
protests. Contrary to my
belief, they can't stop
the young to cease their
riotous acts - Just be
careful in committing
the crimes.
We see a masked young man in black is being interviewed and hear: I used to see movies or sing Karaoke during summer holidays...
PETER (V.O.)
Okay, just gaming on
the streets.
The TV is showing late night news. Peter sees protesters waving lots of US flags. We hear a masked protester remarking: As they betrayed Hong Kong, we want US to sanction Hong Kong.
PETER
How ridiculous! They're
accusing others betraying
Hong Kong. Isn't it a
blatant betrayal to lobby a
foreign country to sanction
Hong Kong? Shameless!
Peter rises immediately and walks away from the TV set.
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
Doing his morning routines, Peter researches with his phone.
PETER (V.O.)
Why are some people
more prone to violence?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Okay, they look physically
fit, so what shapes their
behaviour include individual
traits, family structure,
relationship with others,
life experience in school
and work, socio-economic
factors, and mental health.
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
Ding! Hearing the What'sApp notification, Peter reads the message.
PETER (V.O.)
A democrat resigned
from his party as he
found that he was
actually monitoring
mob protesters at the
front, contrary to his
democratic belief.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
That verifies my assumption
that they take the flowery
excuses to vent their
sentiments against the
Police.
INT. CLUBHOUSE - DAY
Peter is reading a newspaper story. We see an insert with images holding US flags.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Thousands of protesters
went to the US Consulate.
We see another bird's-view insert.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
This photo covers all the
protesters in the incident.
How many thousands?
Let me count.
Peter uses his finger to count the dots in yellow, black and white.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Two - three thousand, at
the most. Make it 7.4k.
To have 0.1% of idiots in
the Hong Kong population
isn't abnormal.
INT. STUDY - DAY
BBC reports: Hong Kong high school students form human chains in support of the Hong Kong protest movement.
PETER (V.O.)
They believe they're
the enlightened ones.
Their demands include
they're above the law.
They endorse the
violence of their arrested
classmates.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd)
Do they really like
violence and lawlessness?
Checking his phone, Peter taps his Google Maps icon and checks his photo statistics.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Well, my photo of the
court building has attracted
disproportionate views...
Peter nods as if he gets a message from the statistics.
FADE OUT.
