FADE IN.
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
Waking up, PETER grabs his phone.
PETER (V.O.)
Let me pick a question
in my waiting list to
answer.
He scrolls down the screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Time is about right to
answer this question.
We see on the screen: Who and what are the big losers from the demonstrations and chaos in Hong Kong in the summer of 2019?
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
It's about the big losers
and not small potatoes.
Peter begins to type.
INT. CLUBHOUSE - DAY
Phone in hand, Peter is editing a draft.
PETER (V.O.)
I hate the expression "Pro-democracy", as
they aren't, actually.
We see Peter modifying the last paragraph to read as follows:
"Pro-democracy". The expression is no different from "pro-violence", "pro-riots", "pro-tyranny of the minority", "pro-secession" and "pro-anti-China".
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd)
"Pro-democracy" has
enslaved many naive
followers who are led
about by dark forces.
Peter taps "Submit".
Then, we see the number of views mounting, from a single digit to double digits, and then triple digits.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
The curious community
can't wait to see my timely
reports, analysis and
opinions.
Peter is thoughts.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I believe I've touched
some of the viewers'
pain points. Many of
them have their own
biases and prejudices,
I don't hesitate to point
them out.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I don't know who and
what they're. It's really
up to them to reflect
on their own fears and
desires.
INT. RESTAURANT - NIGHT
Enjoying his Red Bean Ice, Peter stares at his phone screen.
PETER (V.O.)
Here's a question for me
regarding what would
indicate the protesters'
winning. Having talked
about big losers, I'd also
talk about the winning
characteristics.
As Peter begins to type, we begin to see the following words, phrases and sentences appearing on his phone screen-
The following five act-characteristics, if they won the day without missing any one, would indicate victory:
(1) Stupidity. Stupid is as stupid does - their acts are irrational and destructive.
(2) Violence. They use physical force with the intention to damage, harm or kill. They are equipped.
(3) Terrorism. Apart from anti-authority, they use intimidation and violence against civilians.
(4) Tyranny. Unlike real democrats, they do not tolerate political pluralism ie their "democracy" trumps all.
(5) Communism. Hong Kong has to practise communism so as to re-distribute wealth, for them.
PETER (V.O.)
I'm just stating what
they're doing and their
end game if they
haven't thought about
it yet.
EXT. ROAD - DAY
Peter drives a vantage sports car, listening to the radio. We hear a news report:...the anti-mask law has been passed and will take effect from midnight..."
PETER (V.O.)
That means tonight is
the last night that rioters
can hide their identities.
I believe they'll make the
most of their last breadth.
Seeing a road fork ahead, Peter makes a turn.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I've got something to do
in NT but I can wait until
the law comes into effect.
I don't want to be delayed
on my way back tonight.
INT. STUDY - DAY
Watching TV breaking news, Peter sees on the screen that masked persons are blocking roads in Hong Kong's CBD.
PETER (V.O.)
Yes, the law touches
their pain point.
Peter takes a look of the number of viewers of his Quora answers.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I'm sharing my opinions
and insights so that if I
touch their pain points,
they'd better rethink
their values of good
and evil and make a
right turn.
FADE OUT. THE END
