FADE IN.
INT. RESTAURANT - DAY
PETER and his WIFE lunch together.
PETER (V.O.)
She works too hard,
suffering from an acute
neck pain.
As a WAITER presents the bill, Peter takes out his wallet and pays.
PETER (V.O.)
Keep the change.
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
Curtains down.
WIFE
I'm very tired. I need
some sleep.
PETER
OK. I'll continue to
prepare my pptx
outside, I plan to
issue them before
the week ends.
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
iPad Mini in hand, Peter dictates, types and inserts photos and graphics in Powerpoint slides.
PETER (V.O.)
Done my first draft.
Let me go to the
clubhouse to relax
awhile before editing
it.
INT, CLUBHOUSE - NIGHT
Peter is reading a newspaper.
PETER (V.O.)
There's no news story
near to what I'm going
to speak in Beijing...
that's why I 'll be the
keynote speaker.
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - NIGHT
Seeing his wife is still sleeping, Peter doesn't disturb.
PETER (V.O.)
I go swimming then.
EXT. SWIMMING POOL - NIGHT
Walking towards the entry gates, Peter feels for something in his hand bag. Then he looks surprised.
PETER (V.O.)
My wallet isn't there?
Where have I mislaid
it?
INT. HOME - NIGHT
His wife and the MAID (40s) are helping Peter to find something.
PETER (V.O.)
Not here, not there,
Where's my wallet
gone?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I've already checked
the places where I've
been since I paid the
bill, but no one has
picked up anything.
WIFE
How much cash are
there in your wallet?
PETER
Over $4000...
WIFE
Then, it's quite tempting...
PETER (V.O.)
This gonna be my
first experience...I've
been pre-occupied.
Anyway, what I've
lost is somebody's
gain. Only that I've
lots of follow-up actions
to take.

EXT. WANCHAI ROADS - DAY
Peter walks towards a MTR station.
PETER (V.O.)
If I had been careful
24 hours ago, I didn't
have to go through
all these.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Could it because my
seldom-used credit
cards are jealous and
they want to be loved
again, while my often-
used ones want to
change their clothes?
It can be a good plot
for a "Cards Story"!
Peter smiles.
