FADE IN.
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
Having shared breakfast with KAJI, PETER's pet, Kaji licks Peter's face to her heart's content.
PETER (V.O.)
I feel that she's very
happy that I'm back.
Tonight, the pack
leader and our
younger daughter
will be back too.
Pausing,
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Our son wanted to
be back before X'mas
and so I kept him
company. But today,
my wife and our
younger daughter
would have to make
their way to the Narita
Airport.
FLASHBACK
EXT. ROAD - DAY (Dec 24, 2019)
Peter's WIFE drives. SON navigates. Peter and daughters are at the middle and back rows.
WIFE
I set our Tokyo hotel
as the destination.
PETER
Yes, we should unload
the baggage and check
in first. And see if there's
any car park nearby.
WIFE
We can park in the
hotel - Never mind
paying a day's fee
although we'd park
just for a couple of
hours.
PETER But I've got to drive
back to Narita to refill,
return the car to the
car rental, wait for the
rental shuttle to drive
me, our son and baggage
to Narita Airport and
find a post box to
post the ETC card
back to the provider.
WIFE
Son, where do you
want to go in Tokyo?
EXT. MYSTAYS HOTEL - DAY (December 24, 2019)
Car park entrance. Closed. Baggage unloaded. The party step inside. Peter waits by the car.
A beat. The party comes out.
WIFE
Our car is too big
for the hotel's
garage. We've to
park elsewhere.
PETER
Parking in Tokyo is
difficult and costly.
Should we just go
to the Outlet near
Narita?
The party does not look agreeable.
WIFE
We'll go to one of
the car parks suggested
by the hotel. And
then, we'll take a
train to Tokyo. My
plan B is for me to
drive you and our
son to the Narita
Airport, and I'd
follow up with
the rest.
Peter shrugs.

END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.)
A car and a chauffeur
can be lovable
servants. I've already
brought home two
X'mas boxes.
EXT. ROAD - NIGHT
Coming out of a swimming pool, Peter checks his phone messages.
PETER (V.O.)
Checked in Narita
Airport already?
Good!
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Our elder daughter
has just landed in
Hiroshima Airport?
Yes, she likes to stay
there for awhile before
returning to Fukuoka.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
When she joined us
days ago, we drove to
the Aomori Airport to
pick her up. At Hiroshima
now, she has to be on
her own.
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
Peter speaks to his son.
PETER
Would you join me to
go to the Airport?
SON
(Anxiously)
Yes!
Watching, Kaji behaves like a lovable servant.
FADE OUT. The End
