FADE IN.

INT. SWIMMING POOL- DAY

A few souls. PETER swims leisurely from wall to wall.

PETER (V.O.)

In editing the video

clips for my 2020

greetings, I rediscover

where I've been

in 2019.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.)

I've no problem to

recall recent ones...

I was surprised I

had difficulty to

find video clips of

my January travel.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

My wife and I seized

the 2019 New Year

holidays and went to

Kuala Lumpur...

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Let me carry on to remember my 2019

travels...In February.

I went to Hokkaido to

see its Snow Festivals.

In March, I was in

Tokyo, seeing Sakura

blossoms...

Pausing.

PETER(V.O.) (Cont'd)

In April, my wife and

I visited Taipei. In May

I was in Ishigaki. In

June, I was in the

Wakayama area. In

July, I visited my younger

son in Sydney and took

a side trip to Melbourne.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Where was I after that?

Yes, in August, I went

to Miyakoshima - the

paradise. In September,

my wife and I settled

our younger daughter

in UK. In October, I

went to Victoria to visit

my friend...Where I've

gone in November?

Peter looks frustrated in the water.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

What are the clips

that I've used? Oh

yes! I was in Fukuoka,

visiting my elder

daughter. And the

family united again

in Aomori in December.

Touching the pool wall, Peter looks relieved. Then, the notice of a big electronic bulletin board catches his attention.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Oh, today is last day

that this pool is still

open. It will be closed

for maintenance from

tomorrow.

FLASHBACK

INT. RESTAURANT, KUALA LUMPUR - DAY (January 1, 2019)

Peter, his WIFE,a FRIEND (50s), the FRIEND'S WIFE (50s), a BOY, a GIRL and a GENTLEMAN (late 80s) are finishing a seafood meal.

As a WAITER (20s) presents the bill, the gentleman takes out a credit card to pay. Peter looks on.

PETER (V.O.)

(A little surprised)

He's still in charge of

many things in life.

EXT. RESIDENTIAL CAR PARK, KUALA LUMPER - DAY (January 2, 2019)

A MAID (30s) helps the gentleman get into the driver seat.

PETER (V.O.)

He insists on driving

us around. It's his wish

and we've to comply.

Then, Peter, his wife and a GIRL get inside the car. The gentleman drives as alert as any good driver.

INT. FRIEND'S HOME - DAY (January 2, 2019)

Returned. Peter and his wife are shaking hands and saying goodbye to the gentleman.

GENTLEMAN

(Smiling)

See you next year!

Peter nods.

EXT. HOTEL, TOKYO - DAY (March 2019)

After checking a phone message, Peter looks stunned.

PETER (V.O.)

Oh, uncle has already

passed away. He was

an iron man. And he

enjoyed his moments.

END FLASHBACK

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

If he was still around,

I should be in Kuala

Lumpur now.

Peter takes a deep breath.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)

All I can do now is to

say hello to 2020 for

him...
