  3. INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT

  4. PETER'S FAMILY is having dinner.

  5. WIFE: I plan to go to the country park with our pet coming Friday...

  6. PETER: Is that right?

  7. WIFE: I'll have the day off.

  8. PETER: Oh yes, it's your birthday. But, I've a business lunch appointment that day.

  9. PETER (V.O.): My wife rarely takes a day off including her birthdays. But a day off work can be pleasurable.

  10. WIFE: Ah, that affects my plan...

  11. Peter's wife speaks to their SON.

  12. SON: I've an engagement too. But I can postpone that to the afternoon.

  13. WIFE: Okay, let's do that.

  14. Act 2

  15. INT. SLEEPING ROOM - 2.00AM

  16. Looking solemn, Peter and his wife focus on phone screens.

  17. PETER (V.O.): This is our first time attending a virtual funeral. Our dear uncle living in LA has passed away weeks ago.

  18. Pausing.

  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He's really from zero to hero. He has lived an extraordinary and enjoyable life.

  20. INT. STUDY - 9.30AM

  21. Peter works on his laptop.

  22. PETER (V.O.): I've sent my wife Happy Birthday greetings. Let me do some professional work before attending the business lunch.

  23. Then, Peter sees a mail notification.

  24. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the host has to postpone the lunch appointment? That's good news!

  25. Grabbing his laptop, Peter exits.

  26. INT. SLEEPING ROOM - LATER

  27. Working in a corner, Peter sees his wife in bed waking up.

  28. PETER: Darling, my lunch appointment today has been postponed. I can join you and our son to go to the country park!

  29. EXT. COUNTRY PARK - LATER

  30. Inside a car driven by their son, Peter and his wife see that there's no spot to park the car, while their pet is anxious to get out.

  31. SON: Perhaps, I'll wait in the car. It's hard for both of you to have a day out.

  32. PETER: Darling, I'm afraid that's the only option. We can be quick.

  33. Peter and his wife with their pet get off the car. Then, their pet leads his wife. Peter is tailing behind.

  34. PETER (V.O.): At last, we're in the country park - something we long to do.

  35. They walk uphill and downhill for awhile, until Peter's wife sees a big spider web blocking the way.

  36. WIFE: We should return.

  37. Upon arriving near the waiting car, they see a wandering cow. Peter and the pet want to check it out.

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This year is the Year of the Ox. When I was a kid and was living in NT, I played with cow dung. Now, it's hard to see wandering animals.

  39. Having sated their curiosity, they return to the car and leave the park.

  40. EXT. ROADS - AFTERNOON

  41. Their son is driving.

  42. WIFE: From here to the Pet Cafe, it would take about 35 minutes.

  43. PETER: But we mustn't make our son late for his engagement.

  44. SON: I'll get off at any nearby MTR station. It's easier.

  45. When their son gets off at a MTR station, Peter takes the driver seat.

  46. PETER (V.O.): But for our son's support, we couldn't have a "day out" in the country park.

  47. INT. PET CAFE - AFTERNOON

  48. Relaxing in a corner with their pet by their side, Peter's reading a menu.

  49. WIFE: The tea-set you're reading is for our pet.

  50. PETER: I see. Pet means pet.

  51. Later, a WAITRESS serves an elegant tea-set.

  52. WIFE: Our pet has to do more exercises after having this.

  53. But their pet ignores her food and drink.

  54. WIFE: Dear! Our pet doesn't eat anything, except at home.

  55. Act 3

  56. INT. MALL - LATER

  57. WIFE: I want to buy a dress. You take good care of our pet meanwhile.

  58. PETER (V.O.): Fair enough. She has been working very hard, deserving all the good things in life.

  59. INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT

  60. Lots of food on the table.

  61. PETER: How can we finish them all?

  62. WIFE: Eat as much as we....

  63. PETER: Well...we still have to cut a cake after this.

  64. PETER (V.O.): A day in different places give us more life than at work or at home.
