  1. FADE IN.

  2. Act 1

  3. EXT. PASSING PLACE - MORNING

  4. Squatting near a red coupe, PETER is examining its tyres.

  5. PETER (V.O.): The last time I drove it, I spotted that the treads of all the 4 tyres peeling a little. I now find that they all look quite new.

  6. Wondering.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Are the damages cosmetic? Do I have to replace all the tyres?

  8. Pausing.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I couldn't remember when was the last time I replace them?

  10. On a tyre's sidewall, Peter sees after DOT the numbers 1012.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, it's made on the 10th week of 2012 - reasonable wear and tear.

  12. Pausing.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And I'll drive my wife to our NT home later today. Safety first.

  14. Act 2

  15. EXT. TYRE SHOP - LATER

  16. The PROPRIETOR takes a look of a tire of Peter's coupe.

  17. PROPRIETOR: Its side tread is tearing apart, although the tread depth looks brand new. You've to replace them all.

  18. PETER: Yes, please.

  19. PROPRIETOR: For the tyres to be durable, you've got to exercise them - like exercising our bodies.

  20. PETER (V.O.): Well said. Since the pandemic, I haven't travelled overseas. I've made it my practice to drive a car at least once in 2-3 weeks.

  21. The proprietor and his TEAM work together to replace the tyres.

  22. EXT. ROADS TO NT - AFTERNOON

  23. In the red coupe, Peter drives his WIFE.

  24. PETER (V.O.): Without any worry a tyre may burst, it's a pleasure to drive long distance.

  25. Recalling.

  26. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In 1993, when the coupe was still quite new, I used to pick her up with it.

  27. They are touring the Tuen Mun Highway.

  28. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In 1995, I bought her a silver coupe - the Eunos 30X.

  29. Recalling.

  30. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Then in 2001, I bought her a cyber green New Beetle.

  31. Pausing.

  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since then, she has been driving it. The New Beetle is 20 years old now, but it looks evergreen!

  33. EXT. NT HOME - LATER

  34. Peter parks the coupe on the roadside. We see the silver coupe parked adjacent to a 3-storey house.

  35. PETER (V.O.): My main reason of coming back is to swap cars, exercising them.

  36. Pausing.

  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife hasn't come back for years. She prefers urban convenience. Today, she wants to find some old stuff.

  38. As they enter the house, we see a messy storehouse.

  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's already better than before. We haven't stayed here overnight for over 10 years now. I've cut off the gas for safety reasons.

  40. While his wife does her searching upstairs, Peter tidies G/F.

  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Every time I come back, I'd throw something. I've hoarded in the past.

  42. Then, a stuff toy with characters 牛高馬大 gets Peter's attention.

  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We must have bought it in the previous year of the Ox. Which year was that?

  44. Peter surfs the web with his phone.

  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It was 2009. Yes, like oxen and horses, our children have grown tall and strong...

  46. Peter's wife comes down with few big bags of documents.

  47. WIFE: You can throw them away.

  48. Pausing.

  49. WIFE (Cont'd): I've found my stuff. They aren't on 1/F, but on 2/F.

  50. Pausing.

  51. WIFE (Cont'd): As to the children's stuff, don't throw them away unless they agree.

  52. PETER (V.O.): That's why their stuff are still here...

  53. Act 3

  54. EXT. ROADS - LATER

  55. In the silver coupe, Peter drives his wife.

  56. PETER (V.O.): The tyres of this coupe had the same problem about a year ago. I bought a new set.

  57. They are touring the Tolo Highway.

  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This coupe had an electronic problem too. But since I've driven it pretty regularly, the problem has gone away.

  59. They pass through the Tai Lam Tunnel.

  60. PETER (V.O.): But for my wife's want to search for something, we couldn't have a "day out" together to our NT home.

  61. EXT. PASSING PLACE - LATE AFTERNOON

  62. Inside the silver coupe, Peter is adjusting its radio frequencies and testing its CD player.

  63. PETER (V.O.): There's always something there to remind me...And I do every little things that I and money can still do.

  64. FADE OUT.

  65. THE END
