FADE IN
Act 1
INT. BEDROOM - 06:30
Soft morning light filters through the curtains. PETER sits up in bed, holding his smartphone. The familiar Duolingo owl appears on screen.
PETER (V.O.): The convocation ceremony...the lunch...the fireside chat...the library visit...the dinner.
Sound of a Duolingo success chime. Peter checks his French streak counter: 534 days
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How could I stop my progress?
The sounds of Duolingo success chime resonate even more.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Completing all my Duolingo streaks before breakfast promises a good Saturday morning.
Later, Peter selects a business suit along with a set of casual wear from the wardrobe.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I adapt my attire to suit different occasions.
Next, Peter inspects his swim bag, focusing on the goggles and beach slippers.
Act 2
INT. SHAW AUDITORIUM, HKUST - 09:15
Elegant. Peter sits in a designated seat for Court Members. He reads a programme brochure.
PETER (V.O.): I knew that this year's honorary doctorate candidates include two Nobel laureates. It's a significant achievement for HKUST that they've accepted the offers.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, Mr Stephen A Schwarzman can also make it.
As honorary degrees are conferred, Peter applauds politely.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was a Member of the Awards Committee.
He occasionally leans over to whisper with HELEN, a fellow Court Member.
MONTAGE OF LUNCH RECEPTION
A. Peter stands at a small round table with several ACADEMICS, surrounded by plates of dim sum and drinks.
B. Later, Peter gathers around a table with several COUNCIL MEMBERS, where drinks are scattered between them.
END MONTAGE
INT. SHAW AUDITORIUM - 13:00
Full house. Peter sits attentively among the esteemed GUESTS. On stage, the COUNCIL CHAIR moderates a conversation with STEPHEN SCHWARZMAN, who speaks with confident ease on leadership, entrepreneurship and giving back.
PETER (V.O.): Yes, to succeed, entrepreneurs must provide something new and different.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They speak of legacy as large donations, but I measure mine in unbroken streaks and daily laps - a monument built one perfect Saturday at a time.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The fireside chat serves as the hinge of the day, seemlessly bridging public duty and private gain.
INT. LIBRARY, HKUST - 16:00
After attending an exhibition on "Lost and Found In Hong Kong; The Unsung Chinese Heroes at D-Day", Peter leaves.
PETER (V.O.): The idea of leadership is illuminated by conceptual fire, while its application is embodied in my decision to leave at 4pm to honour a commitment to myself.
EXT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 16:45
Peter is lying flat on a round floating platform.
PETER (V.O.): I measure the value of a talk not by its duration, but by the quiet resonance if left in the silent spaces of my swim.
EXT. RESTAURANT, SHAM SHUI PO - 20:00
Following his ESCOURT, Peter enters a no-frills restaurant.
PETER (V.O.): I distill the global insights of a billionaire through the local, specific experience of a Sham Shui Po dinner - the true measure of any strategy.
Later, a SECRETARY greets him, gesturing swimming strokes.
SECRETARY: And so you've missed the talk in the library.
Peter nods smilingly.
PETER: I'm eager to focus on my physical well-being.
PETER (V.O.): I believe the talk is intended for undergraduates, not for someone like me...
After observing the restaurant, Peter chats with his escourt.
PETER: I thought it'd be fun to dine in a traditional Da Pai Dong, but instead, it's a cramped restaurant.
ESCOURT: It's quite cold here.
They look up and notices a ceiling-mounted air conditioner. And the restaurant has grown increasingly noisy, and GUESTS appear to be shouting to one another.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM -22:30
Peter uploads an image, depicting the fireside chat at the HKUST Shaw Auditorium to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): A perfect Saturday embraces new ideas without missing a beat, weaving threads of inspiration into the resilient fabric of habit.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've long recognized that a life, much like a building, needs a solid foundation. My routines serve as the steel frame, while the day's events create the elegant facade.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My mind was enriched by the fireside chat, my body rejuvenated by the sea water, my spirit norished by HKUST academics and colleagues. It was a perfect Saturday that engaged every aspect of my being.
