A Real Reflection

  2. Act 1


  3. INT. SITTING ROOM - 21:30 (Yesterday)


  4. The TV is on, PETER sees the programme title.


  5. PETER (V.O.): Futuristic fantasy drama is fine with me. But I've never liked horror drama.


  6. Peter grabs his smart phone.


  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Last night, I had a nightmare. It was so real and horrific that my only escape was to wake up.


  8. Peter is about to leave the sofa.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was acutely aware of what had happened in the dream.


  10. Leaving.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was so upset that I didn't want to sleep again, having just slept for about five hours.


  12. Peter goes to his study.


  13. Act 2


  14. INT. BEDROOM - 00:00


  15. Peter is in bed, dictating his diary with his smart phone.


  16. FLASHBACK


  17. INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 15:00 (Yesterday)


  18. Listening to stereo oldies, Peter is having an ice cream cone.


  19. PETER (V.O.): For the past year, I've decluttered a lot.


  20. Peter looks at the papers and files near him.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The remaining stuff not only have sentimental value, they also evidence the particulars of my professional life.


  22. Peter picks up some to read.


  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I began practising law full-time, I was so busy and tired each day that I ceased writing my diary.


  24. Peter captures photos of selected ones.

  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): From now on, I'll re-create my missing diaries using photos as inserts before decluttering the stuff.


  26. Opening a new folder "Memories" on screen, Peter dictates the record of events.


  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Fixed little moments contain big memories.


  28. Peter then stares at a photo of Sharon placed in the shelves.


  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I enjoy doing this here, keeping my late wife company.


  30. RETURN TO PRESENT


  31. PETER (V.O.): I've to adjust my sleeping pattern as I've to appear in court coming Monday.


  32. Peter sleeps.


  33. DREAM SEQUENCE - SOMEWHERE IN TIME


  34. A. Peter sees SHARON before him.


  35. B. Sharon gestures that she can't join Peter.


  36. C. As they part, Peter is brokenhearted.


  37. END DREAM SEQUENCE


  38. Waking up, Peter touches his stomach.


  39. PETER (V.O.): I was so upset that I had a stomach ache...But I don't seem to have a stomach ache now.


  40. Peter checks the time.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, it's only sometime after 4.am. Let me have some milk.


  42. INT. SITTING ROOM - 04:30


  43. Appearing, Peter sees his WIFE watching video clips.


  44. PETER (V.O.): Oh, she's still enjoying a relaxed Saturday morning.


  45. INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS


  46. Peter is having a cup of milk.


  47. PETER (V.O.): It has been nearly 30 years since my late wife had to leave me.


  48. Pausing.


  49. 'PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The dream I've had is particularly powerful.


  50. Act 3


  51. INT. SITTING ROOM - 22:00


  52. The TV is on. Peter surfs the web.


  53. PETER (V.O.): According to Sigmund Freud, dreams represents human's unconscious desires, thoughts, wish fulfillment and motivations.


  54. Thinking.


  55. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The dream I had early this morning is an attempt of my unconscious to resolve a conflict.


  56. Thinking.


  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The dream, though unreal, is a real reflection of my state of mind.

  58. Thinking.


  59. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I should smile because it happened, as I can't pick what to dream.
