  4. PETER is setting an alarm clock.


  5. PETER (V.O.): Should I take the ferry to court tomorrow?


  6. INT. STUDY - 08:00


  7. Peter is reading a thick book.


  8. PETER (V.O.): I've got to update myself on one law point. I'm prosecuting a difficult case today.


  9. Peter checks time.


  10. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Well, save the day's highlight when my job is done.


  11. EXT. MTR STATION-COURT HOUSE - 08:50

  12. Exiting, Peter walks towards the court house.

  13. Act 2


  14. EXT. STREETS - 13:00


  15. Walking, Peter is in thoughts.


  16. PETER (V.O.): The defendant I prosecuted was older than me.


  17. Recalling.


  18. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And he is still the breadwinner of the family.


  19. Pausing.


  20. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Everyone has a cross to bear.


  21. Pausing.


  22. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The outcome was fair, just and equitable after all.


  23. Arriving at a row of restaurants.

  24. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Another highlight of my day is to have fried Hiroshima oyster in a Japanese restaurant here.


  25. Recalling.


  26. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before the pandemic, I visited Japan nearly every month and tried all sorts of oyster sets.


  27. Pausing.


  28. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The only equivalent one in Hong Kong I can easily find is the one in this district.


  29. Before entering one, Peter checks its trade name.


  30. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, although the trade dress is similar, it's Taiwanese, not Japanese.


  31. Peter checks other restaurants.


  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One is Malaysian style and the other is Hong Kong style.


  33. Having crossed a street to check, Peter returns.


  34. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There aren't any restaurants over there. It was just a month ago I had lunch with a colleague in the Japanese restaurant.

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where has it gone? Oh, it's gone...


  37. EXT. FERRY PIER - 16:00


  38. Peter takes photos of decorations.


  39. PETER (V.O.): When I was a kid, I loved to watch ferry moorings.


  40. Recalling.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When my family moved to Tin Sum San Tsuen in 1960, there wasn't any electricity. We used kerosene lamps.


  42. Recalling.


  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I liked to watch my Dad lighting them up. It was quite a job.


  44. Recalling.


  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Later, when we had electricity supply, we installed one ceiling fan.


  46. Pausing.


  47. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All gone now.


  48. Following other PASSENGERS, Peter embarks a moored old ferry.

  50. INT. BEDROOM - 23:00


  51. Smartphone in hand, Peter checks answer requests from Quora.


  52. PETER (V.O.): What's the highlight of my typical day?


  53. Pausing.


  54. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Neither appearing in court nor taking a ferry is typical.


  55. Pausing.


  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Eating ordinarily is. But that isn't exciting and delightful.

  57. Peter then captures an image of his screenplay publications.


  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Telling my stories in screenplay format has been my daily highlight.


  59. Peter deletes his alarms.
