Act 1
INT. LIVING ROOM - 10:30
With his mobile in hand, PETER checks his investment portfolios on the securities apps.
PETER (V.O.): The Hong Kong stock market is on the rise again.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Reduced geopolitical tensions boost investor confidence, encouraging buying and investment.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peaceful conditions promote economic growth and stability, leading to positive earnings forecasts for companies.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Positive sentiment can create momentum effect, where rising prices attract more investors, driving the market even higher.
Trading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I invested heavily in the fall of 2021, and it's only now that I can sell and realize some profits in some stocks.
Act 2
EXT. ESTATE PARK - 12:00
As Peter enters, he starts to stretch his neck, arms and legs.
PETER (V.O.): Although my forehead injury is healing, my family members still won't let me resume my daily swims.
Stretching.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While I'm eager to do more exercises, I also want to returm to my home in NT early to organize the stuff stored there, as one of our urban apartments is undergoing renovations.
EXT. TRAFFIC LIGHT - LATER
The light is red. Peter stands patiently, stretching his neck, arms and legs.
PETER (V.O.): I make the most of my time by doing more exercises that should be good for my health.
A BUSYBODY (60s), overly enthusiastic and loud, approaches him.
BUSYBODY: You know, you should do your exercises in the park. The air in the busy area isn't healthy.
Peter isn't amused by the unsolicited advice.
BUSYBODY (Cont'd): Stretching yourself at the traffic light might cause you to bump into someone.
Peter looks around intently, and sees nobody there except the busybody who approaches him.
PETER: Have I bumped into anyone?
BUSYBODY: I know I sound like a busybody...and you aren't young...
PETER (V.O.): If you recognize that you sound like a busybody and I'm a senior, why continue to behave that way.
Peter ignores the busybody, crossess the road as soon as the light turns green, heading straight for the bus stop.
EXT. BUS - LATER
Peter sits on the upper deck, gazing out the window.
PETER (V.O.): Would the world be a better place if everyone simply minded their own business?
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Iran...
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Busybodies and political figures share the tendency to meddle in other's affairs and seek influence.
Analysing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But their motivations differ. Busybodies often act out of curiosity, the political figures, ambition.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For good governance, political leadership should be responsive and ethical, prioritizing the needs of society as a whole.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But the complexities of electorial politics are such that it's common for individuals lacking good leadership qualities to be elected.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Their actions, such as acts of aggression, affect not only their own societies but also others, leading to consequences like financial market crashes and even potential conficts like WWIII.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But what can I do, really, in this imperfect world?
INT. DINING ROOM - 21:00
While having dinner, Peter and his WIFE follow the news.
PETER (V.O.): I hope Israel has learnt a lesson from its 12-day war against Iran....Will it cease fire in Gaza?
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - 21:45
Peter adds an AI drawing titled "Echoes of Humanity..." to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): Most of us are connected by the invisible threads of empathy.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): True humanity shines in the compassion we share.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In this imperfect world, each individual has a unique role in fostering positive change.
