  1. FADE IN

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. BEDROOM - 07:00

  4. The morning sun filters through the curtains. PETER opens his eyes instantly, completely alert. He sits up.

  5. PETER (V.O.): I feel refreshed.

  6. Recalling.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One o'clock in the morning. That's when I finally hit "Publish" on my daily screenplay.

  8. Pausing.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The moment my head hit the pillow after that...gone. Less than a minute.

  10. A satifisfied smile crosses his face.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today, I need to be sharp. I've professional work to do from 10am.

  12. Pausing.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I hate lying awake, wasting precious resting time only to feel sluggish and unfit the next day.

  14. Act 2

  15. INT. BEDROOM - 14:45

  16. Peter lies back in bed.

  17. PETER (V.O.): My professional work was done. I feel deeply tired and have a mild headache.

  18. FLASHBACK

  19. INT. BEDROOM - 11:30 (6 Sept, 2026)

  20. Peter is resting in bed.

  21. PETER (V.O.): After pushing through my Duolingo streaks in seven languages, I feel very tired.

  22. Peter's eyelids grow heavy. His hand relaxes. His phone slips onto his chest. His eyes close.

  23. DREAM SEQUENCE

  24. INT. BEDROOM- TIMELESS

  25. The bedroom shifts into a surreal, hazy version of itself. Peter's WIFE sits up in bed facing Peter, holding something with the caption "Minority".

  26. WIFE:Do you know this?

  27. PETER: What's this?

  28. Peter, confused, tries to reach her physically. He extends his foot across the mattress to nudge her leg, seeking connnection.

  29. PETER (V.O.): Why couldn't I touch her?

  30. END DREAM SEQUENCE

  31. Peter snaps awake, his eyes flying open. He sits bolt upright, visibly shocked.

  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Only a few minutes have passed...why can I dream in a very short nap?

  33. He grabs his phone and asks Google. He reads the response.

  34. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Normally, I enter Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep (the dreaming stage) after 90 minutes of sleep. If I'm very tired, my brain skips the usual cycle and drops straight into REM slip within minutes.

  35. Reading.

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I reached out my foot in the dream and felt nothing, this creates a sharp sensory mismatch. It acts like an emergency alarm, instantly flooding my system with cortisol and adrenaline to wake me up.

  37. Pausing.

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I overused my brain?

  39. RETURN TO PRESENT

  40. EXT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 17:45

  41. The sky is painted in gold and orange. Peter glides through the water with rhythmic strokes.

  42. PETER (V.O.) : I feel my mild headache dissolving with every stroke.

  43. FLASHBACK

  44. EXT. MTR TRAIN - 18:15 (4 Sept. 2026)

  45. Crowded. Peter chats with a FRIEND.

  46. PETER: I swim every day...

  47. FRIEND: Well, I walk. Just walking.

  48. PETER: Do you sleep well?

  49. FRIEND: I don't sleep well. Never have.

  50. RETURN TO PRESENT

  51. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The speed at which I fall asleep is a direct reflection of how cleanly I've spent my waking energy. A fully-utilized mind leaves no room for insomia.

  52. Act 3

  53. INT. BEDROOM -22:30

  54. Peter uploads an image to a draft on his laptop. It shows "Sleep Well" as an item in a to-do list.

  55.  PETER (V.O.): When the mind is pushed to its absolute limits, it refuses to wait for the standard rhythms of the night; it demands fast-forward sleep to instantly clear the cognitive traffic jam.

  56. Thinking.

  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):  To tire the mind with seven languages and cleans the body in the open sea is to master the art of rest, turning a simple act of an afternoon nap into a beautifully efficient Fast-forward sleep.

  58. Reflecting.

  59. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):The brilliant efficiency of a hyper-stimulated brain is proven not by how long it rests, but by how quickly it constructs an entire universe within a few moments of Fast-forward sleep.

  60. The END

  61. FADE OUT
