  1. FADE IN.

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

  4. Phone in hand, PETER is pondering.

  5. PETER (V.O.): In Quora, I've been asked all sorts of questions that I couldn't have imagined.

  6. Checking.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here's one: Where and when would I go back to the year 1984 if I like art?

  8. Pausing.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although they're specific answer requests, I don't have to answer them. I don't care if they don't ask me again.

  10. Pausing.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On this one, the Quoran has requested me twice.

  12. Pausing.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But to make some sense out of a senseless question poses a challenge to me, and I want to challenge my limits.

  14. Act 2

  15. INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS

  16. Pausing.

  17. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): George Orwell's novel "1984" was published in 1949. He predicted much of the world should be undergoing endless wars.

  18. Pausing.

  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The fictional novel "1984" can be of enduring relevance to many.

  20. Pausing.

  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But a popular and complex work might also lead to wild interpretations that are out of the author's control.

  22. Pausing.

  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But this Quoran wants to know where and when he can go back to the year 1984 as he likes art, from 2020.

  24. Wondering.

  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What happened in 1984 in art in the first place? Let me check.

  26. Surfing the web, Peter reads "1984 in art".

  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There's no special art event or movement in 1984.

  28. Recalling.

  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In 1984, I got my LLB from HKU, and the Sino-British Joint Declaration was signed.

  30. Reclining on a sofa, Peter is thinking.

  31. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Art is just the expression/application of humans' creative ideas, intended to be appreciated for its beauty or emotional power.

  32. Pausing.

  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Such art forms are often original. But art forms needn't be confined to auditory or visual. They can be multi-dimensional, including an act/performance.

  34. Pausing.

  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I now like to use readymades, transforming them into art forms.

  36. Pausing.

  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The transformation process is this: Through my creative idea/choice, I choose a readymade subject matter, exercise my sweat of the brow and transform it into another art work, invoking the artistic appreciation.

  38. Pausing.

  39. PETER (V.O.): Would such an art expression/application/interpretation be understood by the Quoran?

  40. Pausing.

  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If he likes art, and is imaginative of the possibility of travelling back in time, he might be able to appreciate that artistically.

  42. Peter shrugs his shoulders.

  43. Act 3

  44. INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS

  45. Having taken a screenshot of a calendar year of 1984 on his phone, Peter re-orients and edits the image for a while.

  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's my choice to select the subject matter. Yes, the arrangement now looks beautiful to me. It's my independent creation.

  47. Pausing.

  48. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The 2020 creation is an expression/application of my creative ideas of the year 1984 in retrospect.

  49. Thinking.

  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me coin such artistic expression as "Inter-temporal Art".

  51. Pausing.

  52. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To respond to the Quoran's "where" and "when", he can go to the virtual world to appreciate my inter-temporal art "1984", now.

  53. Peter types his answer on the phone.

  54. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would he get it?

  55. Pausing.

  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If he didn't, I share and communicate my inter-temporal art of "1984" not just to him, but to those who could appreciate it now and in the future.

  57. Reflecting.

  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Every human can be an artist. And my life has become artistic too.

  59. Pausing.

  60. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Challenging my limits. I live authentically.

  61. Peter smiles.

  62. FADE OUT.

  63. THE END
