PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): About 3000 people didn't live beyond Sept 11, 2001. They didn't even have the next day.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd like to think that those who have taken their last breath is like sleeping in eternity.
Peter reads something on his phone screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 5:45 am that day, the hijackers began to board flights. I was still dreaming around that time today.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 7:59 am, AA 11 took off with 5 hijackers. I was on my way to court today.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:15 am, UA 175 took off with 5 hijackers. I was getting off at the wrong MTR station today.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:19 am, AA 11 flight attendant Betty Ong reported via an in-flight phone that the plane was hijacked. I was waiting at a station platform again today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:20 am, AA 77 took off with 5 hijackers. I was boarding another train today.

FLASHBACK (CONTINUOUS)

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:21 am, AA 11's transponder was turned off and the plane couldn't be tracked. I was wondering how would I perform today.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:24 am, a hijacker's communication with passengers on board AA 11 was heard by the pilot of UA 175, who alerted the Federal Aviation Authority. I was about to get off from the train today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:42 am, the delayed UA 93 took off with 4 hijackers. I was entering the court house today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:46 am, AA 11 hit the North Tower of the World Trade Centre. I've just sit down for a minute thinking about today in history.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:50 am, President Bush was informed about the incident. I began settling down in the office today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 8:52 am, a UA 175 attendant reported that the plane was hijacked. I was expecting some special assignment for me today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 9:03 am, UA 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Centre. I was waiting in earnest today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 9:12 am, a UA 77 flight attendant phoned her mom that the plane was hijacked. I was still waiting in earnest today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 9:37 am, UA 77 crashed into the Pentagon. I was researching on some dry law today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 9:59 am, the South Tower collapsed. I was having better research focus today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 10:03 am, UA 93 crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. I was updating myself on IP developments.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 10:15 am, a section of Pentagon's outer ring collapsed. I was checking the new stuff coming out from my former department today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 10:28 am, the North Tower collapsed. I was reading intensely today.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And then at the eleventh hour, I got loads of special assignment, making me feel ill-prepared due to the quick pace of development.
Act 3
EXT. PARK - NIGHT
Peter is running.
PETER (V.O.): What does Sept 11 mean today?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It provides at least a good case study on leadership and governance issues.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But what did the people die for?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Life is already short without any tragedy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Can peoples just love and not hate each other?
Head shaking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As for me, I'll make the rest of my life the best of it.
