Kaji: Body Language

FADE IN.

Act 1

INT. CORRIDOR - MORNING

Ears and body leaning back, KAJI waits anxiously for PETER to go out from the sleeping room.

KAJI (V.O.): It's breakfast time. Don't you know that?

Seeing Peter, Kaji relaxes her body gesture and leads the way calmly.

KAJI (V.O.) (CONTINUOUS): I've checked that it's quiet outside.

INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Seeing nobody in the dining room, Peter and Kaji sit on a sofa.

KAJI (V.O.): Let me clean Peter's face meanwhile.

After a short bow, Kaji jumps up onto Peter's chest to lick his face.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): After this morning routine, we'll have breakfast, right?

Their MAID returns home with a bag of bread.

Act 2

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Seeing food put on the table, Kaji, with forward ears and body, follows Peter to the dining table. She looks excited.

KAJI (V.O.): But for my tightly curled tail, I'd wag it too.

Having seen Peter showing her a piece of bread, Kaji looks ready to bounce with her hind legs.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Throw it, and I can catch it!

Seeing the piece of bread in the air, Kaji, with tall ears now, bounces up to catch and eat it.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I only look dominant in catching food.

Peter throws another piece hitting Kaji's nose before falling onto somewhere. Kaji finds it in no time.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When it comes to food, I can salvage any missing bit swiftly.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The eating game is playful too.

Recalling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When we were out, I met strangers. Sometimes, my neck and chest posture might be a little stiff.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't mean to be aggressive, but some would react with flattened ears, with their tails between their legs.

Thinking.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Their frightened posture embarrasses their owners. It's so shameful.

Act 3

NT. SITTING ROOM - LATER

Kaji relaxes on the sofa.

KAJI (V.O.): Having filled my stomach, I'm ready just to fall asleep.

INT. PET GARDEN - NIGHT

Kaji meets up with strangers much bigger and stronger than her. She maintains her posture.

KAJI (V.O.): I'd never give up and remain calm and neutral.

Kaji deters their aggressive acts.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They can see that my tail remains curled and upright.

Kaji takes a look of the PACK LEADER and Peter.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I think they're proud of me.

INT. CORRIDOR - NIGHT

Mouth open, tongue exposed and ears up, Kaji plays with a GANG MEMBER.

FADE OUT.
