Act 1
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
Door-bell ringing. KAJI checks the front door.
KAJI (V.O.): Who is it?
As the MAID opens the door, Kaji sees a POSTMAN delivering a big carton box.
KAJI (V.O.) (COTINOUS): What's that? Who is it for?
Kaji guards it.
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
The PACK LEADER and GANG MEMBER#1 are opening the box. KAJI checks the contents as PETER and GANG MEMBERS#2 & #3 watch.
PETER: Wow, so much X'mas gifts for our pet! Our lovely daughter living in Japan must be missing our pet very much.
KAJI (V.O.): Among other packaged items, I see something inside a translucent plastic bag. What's that?
Act 2
INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
PACK LEADER: Oh, that's our lovely daughter's Tee-shirt. She said she had worn it for a fortnight. She wanted to make our pet's memories of her come alive.
As the Pack Leader opens the bag, Kaji responds strongly to the Tee-shirt.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't wait to smell it.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The scent seems so very familiar.
Kaji puts her nose inside the bag to sniff.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, I recall it's the scent of a gang member who loves me dearly.
Kaji sniffs the Tee-shirt repeatedly.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, it's hers. I can tell her scent difference from those of the Pack Leader, Peter, other Gang Members, and my friends.
Kaji continues to sniff the Tee-shirt deeply.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, it's so fragrant, lingering in me like perfume.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's unforgettable. But, where's she?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't see her round!
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): In fact, I haven't seen her for ages!
Reflecting.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's happening?
Withdrawing from the bag, Kaji hides under a table.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why I can't see her?
Kaji is still staring at the Tee-shirt.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I recall she gave me many treats and toys.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): She seems so near and yet so far...
Kaji looks very disturbed.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINOUS
Seeing Kaji's reaction, ALL smile. Then, the Pack Leader tries to fetch Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why don't you leave me alone?
Coming out from the table, Kaji is uncomposed.
PACK LEADER: I want you to wear her Tee-shirt.
We see Kaji's wearing a Tee-shirt on her fur.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel we're one now.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although it's weird, I love it.
As the Pack Leader and Gang Member#1 then unpack other items, Peter sends his snapshots via the phone and checks messages.
PETER: Our lovely daughter directs that we should give our pet some treats.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Treats! I've got the message!
As Kaji is being rewarded, all smile again.
