Act 1

INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT

Sitting tightly with GANG MEMBER#1 on a piano chair, KAJI waits for the PACK LEADER and the GANG to eat.

KAJI (V.O.): I've been trained to guard; and I respect them too.

Sitting adjacent to them, Peter notices Kaji's lying-down position.

PETER: Look at her, she balances herself with part of her back legs.

The Pack Leader and GANG MEMBER#2 check it out under the dining table.

PACK LEADER: She has a good sense of balance.

Act 2

FLASHBACK

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

Kaji jumps up onto the bed, stands on the quilt and then licks Peter's face.

KAJI (V.O.): When it comes to love, I'm devoted and won't hide it.

Having given Peter some love, Kaji walks to the edge of the bed, surveying the floor before jumping down.

RETURN TO PRESENT

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've done lots of balancing exercises to improve my skill.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've no problem in responding to different surfaces of different sizes at all.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sitting is easy. Standing on my back legs to please the Pack Leader and the Gang is my hallmark skill.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): To maintain a "down" position in an undersized chair poses no challenge to me either.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I just attach my abdominal muscles on the surface of the chair, and I use my back legs to maintain my balance.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've strength. I won't let my body slide off the chair.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): So I'm quite steady and I won't fall.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): You don't have to worry, Peter.

ACT 3

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Balance is the key to everything: sit, stand, down...

Thinking.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've either found or created the necessary balance.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel whole and complete when I keep the Pack Leader and the Gang good company.

Thinking.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having said that, I've to remark that I won't mind having a disproportionate amount of treats!

FADE OUT.

THE END
