Act 1
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
KAJI sees PETER going out.
KAJI (V.O.): Is he buying breakfast for us?
A beat.
Welcoming him home, Kaij jumps up to Peter energetically to sniff his belongings.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Nothing interesting. His laptop isn't edible.
Kaji sees Peter sitting on the sofa, opening his laptop.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I don't need to exercise my mind.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I know there's no food inside.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I can't understand why he likes it so much.
Kaji looks lost.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): What should I do, despite I'm hungry?
Act 2
INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Let me play tug of war.
Picking up a big stuff toy from her toy box, Kaji bites it violently, shaking her head and body with full force.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): You're my prey! I'm hungry. I've no mercy on you!
Kaji checks if her prey would resist further.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter might share my instinctive behaviour.
Kaji brings her prey to Peter who is working on a laptop.
Grabbing one part of the toy prey, Peter contests with Kaji to keep it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He's old. I'll let him have an edge.
Getting the toy prey, Peter throws it in the air.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've no problem in catching it!
Having caught her prey with her mouth, Kaji tortures it again before bringing it to Peter. They repeat the game a few times.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): That's enough for Peter's morning exercise.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I feel more hungry now.
Checking Peter.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): But Peter is focusing on his laptop again.
Kaji sees the MAID putting something on the dinning table.
KAJI (V.O.): Oh, our breakfast is ready.
Checking Peter again.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): His eyes are still glued to the laptop screen. Can't he smell food?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Let me exercise my mind to get his attention.
Kaji stares at Peter. Peter looks back.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): But he isn't leaving the sofa. Come on!
Kaji makes some whining sounds.
Act 3
Hearing Kaji's whining, Peter lifts his head with a smile.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Yes, it works, he's about to leave the sofa.
Leaving the sofa, Peter walks towards the dining room. Kaji dances around him energetically as if they're dancing Viennese Waltz.
INT. DINING ROOM - DAY
Seeing Peter pointing at a chair, Kaji jumps up swiftly.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd):Yes, your wish is my command!
Holding one end of a bread piece, Peter lets Kaji bite the other end as if they're playing tug of war.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I love this alternative game. Peter isn't actually contesting with me.
Kaji is biting and eating.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): All I need to do is to swallow the part at my end. Peter will then let me have more edges...
Eating again.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Until there's no more bread.
PETER: Finished.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I can see that.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): They've become the source of my energy.
Kaji looks happy.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): What's life to me is simply energy or exercise of my mind.
