FADE IN.

Act 1

INT - SITTING ROOM - NIGHT

KAJI is playing the fetching game with PETER.

KAJI (V.O.): We've just had a good night out.

FLASHBACK

INT, SITTING ROOM - THE NIGHT BEFORE

Kaji sees the PACK LEADER packing her bag. She stares at Peter.

KAJI (V.O.): Are we going out?

As Peter stays put, Kaji looks out of the window.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's very dark outside.

PACK LEADER: Stay home. The typhoon is still around.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The past few days have been unusual.

Act 2

INT - SITTING ROOM - HOURS EARLIER

Kaji sees the PACK LEADER packing her bag. She stares at Peter.

PETER: Kai, Kai!

KAJI (V.O.): Got it!

EXT. STREETS - LATER

Crowded. Kaji leads the Pack Leader and Peter.

KAJI (V.O.): Going out is fun. It doesn't matter where we're going.

EXT. PET GARDEN - LATER

Arrived.

KAJI (V.O.): I enjoy the journey. I always know the way.

In the lawn, Kaji checks in her favourite spots. She checks out via a barrier's hollow space.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, I use the fast track now.

Kaji strolls for awhile.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): None of my friends are here. Let's go.

EXT. STREETS - LATER

Stopping at a junction, Kaji sees a DOG and his MAID. Unprovoked, the dog begins barking at Kaji.

KAJI (V.O.): So rude. You're nearly 1/3 larger than me. Do I pose a threat to you?

Aggressive barking continues.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not afraid of you! See my upright tail!

Kaji walks past, ignoring the dog.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I only fear unusual loud sounds and flashing lights.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Few would see my fearful look.

Recalling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, Peter - the photo addict - might have captured it.

ACT 3

Crossing the junction, Kaji sees a new FRIEND.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He looks gentle. Let me say hello to him.

Warmly, they greet each other.

RETURN TO PRESENT

Kaji jumps up onto the sofa to join Peter.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): My yesterday emotions have all gone.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I won't let yesterday take up much of today.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today is a blessing. Tomorrow is a mystery.

FADE OUT.
