  1. FADE IN

  2. Act 1

  3. EXT. FERRY TRIP, CENTRAL - SIVEREMINE BAY - 10:30

  4. Sitting on the right-hand side of the upper deck, PETER looks out the window.

  5. PETER (V.O.): I haven't visited Lantau for at least eight years. Time flies.

  6. Recalling.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The most memorable visit was in 1973, soon after the HKU matriculation exams. My classmates and I had fun.

  8. Recalling.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was a Justice of the Peace, I visited prisons in Lantau from time to time.

  10. Recalling.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As Government provided free helicopter services, I enjoyed the Lantau days then.

  12. Peter sees Silvermine Beach Resort and the Bay in a distance.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me see the Lantau today.

  14. Act 2

  15. EXT. MUI WO - CHEUNG SHA HA TSUEN - 11:30

  16. Sitting at the front of a Route#1 bus, Peter checks Google Maps on his phone screen and the LED display of bus-stop names.

  17. PETER (V.O.): I meant just to go swimming in the Silvermine Beach Bay.

  18. Pausing.

  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But at the bus terminal, I saw passengers boarding this bus. And I saw a "via Cheung Sha" sign.

  20. We see the bus passing Cheung Sha Sheung Tsuen.

  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh I saw a roadside beach sign.

  22. After getting off at the slopy bus stop at Cheung Sha Ha Tsuen, Peter hesitates.

  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Going to the beach, I believe I should walk down.

  24. Peter then sees a MAN carrying a bag walking uphill.

  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me follow him.

  26. After walking 20 meters, the man turns left into a concealed entrance.

  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, from here, I can also see the beach sign!

  28. EXT. LOWER CHEUNG SHA BEACH - 11:45

  29. Peter observes the beach.

  30. PETER (V.O.): I haven't been here before.

  31. Peter walks past two lifeguard towers.

  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Like the Golden Beach, there aren't any floating platforms here.

  33. Peter observes the swimming area.

  34. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The swimming area here is smaller too; but the water looks rougher.

  35. Peter walks towards the changing room.

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've brought my safely buoy with me. I'd be fine.

  37. INT. McDONALD'S, MIU WO - 13:30

  38. Enjoying the waterfront view, Peter is having a Tuna Caesar Salad set.

  39. PETER (V.O.): Finishing my lunch, I'll go swimming in Silvermine Beach Bay.

  40. EXT. SILVERMINE BEACH BAY - 14:15

  41. Walking along the promenade, Peter stares at the Silvermine Beach Resort.

  42. PETER (V.O.): Around August 1981, my Government legal scholar colleagues cooked up the idea to have lunch here. And we did it.

  43. Recalling.

  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was epic - it was a work day. And now, I'm the only one who is working in retirement.

  45. As Peter is walking in the sand, we see no one swimming in the calm sea.

  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me take the lead then.

  47. Later, having swum around the swimming area and returned to the beach, Peter sees a few souls staying in the shallow water area.

  48. PPETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, a woman is assisting an old lady.

  49. Reflecting.

  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm helping myself while I still can.

  51. .Act 3

  52. EXT. FERRY TRIP, SILVERMINE BAY - CENTRAL - 15:30

  53. Sitting on the right-hand side of the lower deck, Peter has an unobstructed sea view.

  54. PETER (V.O.): A day is just a measurement of time.

  55. "Wow! Wow!" We see one white dog barking at a smaller white one.

  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What a difference! Whether the day is great or not is up to me now.

  57. Later, as PASSENGERS alight, Peter sees some pushing their bicycles.

  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm glad that my Lantau today is great!

  59. THE END
