Act 1
INT. SITTING ROOM/DINING ROOM - 08:00
As PETER sits on a sofa, KAJI jumps up to lick Peter's nose, lips and eye lids.
PETER (V.O.): She loves to do that.
MAID: Sir, breakfast is ready now.
Peter and Kaji share breakfast at the dining table.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife is on leave today to get something done.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having relaxed for two days, I need to prepare for rendering pro bono legal advice on Thursday evening.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before that, I'll do something good for myself first.
Act 2
SEQUENCE OF PETER'S MONDAY HIGHLIGHTS
A. 09:00. Study. Peter is reading texts on Pure Theory of Law and Legal Realism.
B. 10:00. Study. Smartphone in hand, Peter is checking his entrepreneurial fund project in Yahoo!Finance.
C. 13:00. Restaurant, Causeway Bay. Peter is enjoying Stir-fried Beef Noodles with Sweet Soy Sause.
D. 14:00. Times Square. While window-shopping, Peter takes snapshots of installation arts.
E. 14:30. Morrison Hill Swimming Pool. Seeing the dropped gates and notices, Peter looks very disappointed.
F. 15:00. Tom Lee Music. Peter checks guitar models and other music gears.
G. 15:30. Tram upper deck. Peter takes snapshots of urban life.
H. 16:00. High Court Library. From stacks, Peter grabs books on Contracts, Construction Contracts, Trusts, Crimes and Town Planning.
I. 18:30. Supermarket. Peter buys tins of Abalone and fruits. He pays with shopping vouchers.
J. 19:00. Pet garden. Exiting, Peter, his wife and Kaji walk/run towards high-rise buildings.
END SEQUENCE
EXT. ROADS OF KWUN TONG - 19:15
Peter, his wife and Kaji wait before the traffic lights at a road junction.
PETER (V.O.): In the morning, while my mind is fresh, I reflect on the interface between legal theory and legal practice.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I think about all at once, everything makes good theoretical and practical sense.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I now understand the political/social rationale to derive "is" from "ought" and the nature of "mixed questions of fact and law"
Thinking.
PETER(V.O.)(Cont'd): Regarding my entrepreneurial fund project, I'm taking the risk so that I may not lose the chance - either to gain or lose.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.): The funny thing is that I look forward to next trading day so that, like today, I may lose less!
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I went to Causeway primarily for the Stir-fried Beef Noodles with Sweet Soy Sauce, as I witnessed the cook putting his heart to his signature dish.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I meant to swim in the Morrison Hill public swimming pool. It's understandable it wasn't open as Hong Kong now is having its fifth wave of outbreak.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Professional work for the past fortnight was hectic. Frequenting Tom Lee Music and taking a tram ride were my work-life balancing acts.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Casual shopping after intensive studying was another.
Taking a look of his wife and Kaji.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And now, it's "Me and you and a dog named - Kaji".
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our children are like branches on a tree, all growing in different directions.
Seeing the red man turns to green, they cross the road.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM/DINING ROOM - 23:00
Relaxing on a sofa, Peter is listening to Apple FM.
PETER (V.O.): I've a mind-setting Monday. Everything connects.
We hear instrumental music: Soul Coaxing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Got fresh perspectives and a positive outlook.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How nice to have started the week off right!
Peter joins his wife to have some fruit.
