Act 1
INT. STUDY - MORNING
Packing his brief case, PETER hesitates.
PETER (V.O.): Should I bring my swimming brief and goggles, just in case?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If I don't bring them, it's for sure that I won't swim again before taking my 2nd jab at 3:30pm today.
Peter puts his swimming gear inside his brief case.
INT. PROSECUTIONS OFFICE - LATER
Peter is studying some files.
PETER (V.O.): My workload early next week won't be hectic. That's good for me. Let me finish my preparation before lunch.
Later, Peter packs and leaves.
Act 2
INT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - 1:05pm
Having changed, Peter enters the small pool dotted with other SWIMMERS.
PETER (V.O.): The session has just begun. To swim a little while here is better than no swimming at all.
A MAN and a WOMAN are observing Peter's swimming styles.
MAN: I can see he's swimming comfortably.
PETER (V.O.): True. I'm enjoying it. It could be my last one. I'm going to take my 2nd jab in about two hours.
EXT. STREET - LATER
Walking towards a MTR station, Peter sees a line.
PETER (V.O.): What are they queuing up for?
Checking the location. Peter sees a sign: COVID 19 Vaccination Centre.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We don't have local cases for quite a while now. But the Delta variant, when imported, is more lethal to people of all ages.
INT. RESTAURANT - 2: 30pm
Cosy. Peter is enjoying Fish & Chips and Ice Coffee.
PETER (V.O.): First time here. Everything's fine. It could be my last meal.
INT. MEDICAL CENTRE - 3: 20pm
After checking in, Peter waits.
PETER (V.O.): Okay, I'm going to take the higher risk soon.
After a short Q & A session conducted by NURSES#1 and #2 with Peter, Nurse#2 administers Peter's 2nd jab.
NURSE#2: Done.
PETER: Is that right? I don't even notice that.
Having thanked the nurses, Peter sits at the waiting area.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I'm beginning to feel the effect of my 2nd jab at my injection site. I didn't feel a thing after my 1st jab.
Peter feels the site with his hand.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Am I alright? Let me distract my attention by entertaining an answer request in Quora.
Peter checks his Quora notifications in his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Who do I aspire to be like and why? That's the question.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I aspire to be like my Dad. He led a very simple life. He loved me more than anyone.
Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having told the world I loved my Dad, I feel great.
As a number is called, Peter rises.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've survived my 2nd jab for 15 minutes now.
Act 3
INT. KITCHEN - EVENING
Peter is making lemon and honey water.
PETER (V.O.): Everyone tells me that I should have more water and more rest.
Peter consumes his water.
INT. STUDY - LATER
The TV is on. Peter researches with his phone.
PETER (V.O.): A recent study finds that the vaccine I've taken produces 10 times more COVID-19 antibodies than the other available option.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And so the disruption to my immune system isn't small.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While death is certain, the time isn't.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a gamble. See if it pays off.
Peter drinks more lemon and honey water.
