Act 1
INT. STUDY - 10:00
We hear Ding! PETER reaches for his smartphone to check the notification.
PETER (V.O.): It's from my elder daughter.
Checking an image with a subtitle "outlet", Peter touches the display and spreads his fingers.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ha, I can see the Prada logo.
Peter types on screen: Ha! I'm its shareholder. It has just come out of the red.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As my wife is supportive of the brand, I owe its shares.
Peter checks Google maps.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My elder daughter is already on the move.
Peter scrolls up the screen to see other images.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The weather there since Sunday has been fine.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. BEDROOM - 09:25 (Last Saturday)
Hearing Ding! Peter checks the What'sApp notification and sees an image of a bullet train.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, my elder daughter is taking it from Tokyo to Kanazawa.
Later, Peter checks another notification and sees the image of the Kanazawa terminal.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Looks familiar. My wife and I visited it years ago. We rode on the Doraemon train.
INT. SITTING ROOM - 18:30
Peter checks other images and messages.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, she has to cancel her city-tour plan as it's raining hard and queues for indoor tourist spots are long.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What I would do is to check the weather forecast and adjust my itinerary.
Having checked the weather forecast of Kanazawa, Peter takes a screenshot and sends the image.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There'll be sunny periods coming Sunday and Monday!
Then, Peter sees images of hotel facilities on screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Very nice. She deserves a break.
EXT. PET GARDEN - EVENING (Last Sunday)
Sitting in a bench, Peter checks What'sApp images and messages.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, she has missed the bus and waited for an hour for the next one!
Reading remarks.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She said she'd drive there the next time! But she hasn't got a driving licence yet.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, we see time as capital when we're travelling.
INT. STUDY - 09:45 (Monday Today)
Peter is alerted to What'sApp notifications.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, my elder daughter is on the move again, taking a 3-hr train journey to Karuizawa.
At 12:30 pm, Peter sees other images on screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Wow, she's having a good time in Kurobe.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When we travel, we also make the most of it. That's our wanderlust!
END FLASHBACK
Ringtones. After taking a call, Peter looks disturbed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've to appear in court tomorrow.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't anticipate this.
Peter takes a deep breath.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 14:00
PETER checks another What'sApp message.
PETER (V.O): Oh, it's from my wife to our elder daughter, reminding her not to miss the last train from country back to town.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As I work in retirement, I've to practise.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is like stock investment, as I've entered the trading ring, I've to strategize and capitalise.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just hope that I could resume my monthly travelling hobby soon. And I'll give priority to my wanderlust over my work.
