FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING
Alarm sounds one after another. Then a MAID knocks at the door.
MAID: Ma'am, time to get up.
PETER: I've slept well. My sleeping time is well spent.
Peter and his WIFE get out of bed.
EXT. ROADSIDE - LATER
Listening to traffic news in his car, Peter looks anxious.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, there're two extra traffic jams along the way to my wife's workplace.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If my wife takes the MTR, she may still be on time.
As his WIFE gets on board, Peter explains the traffic conditions.
Act 2
EXT. MTR STATION - CONTINOUS
Peter's car arrives. His wife gets off.
PETER (V.O.): I take punctuality seriously. I'm consistently being on time.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The practice reflects proper planning, personal discipline and respect for others.
Peter looks at his wrist.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't wear any watch these days.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Recently, my wife has arranged to replace the batteries of some of my watches.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Wearing one again, I thought I'd rather gave it to my younger son.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But like a watch, I keep going.
INT. STUDY - LATER
Peter is reading a thick bundle of papers.
PETER (V.O.): I must examine all the materials before conducting this afternoon's conference.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): After the conference, there's a follow-up action. While circumstances are such that I can't complete my assignment earlier, I'd still be on time.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Some may say that good stuff take time. But I see that as an excuse for being late.
EXT. OFFICE BUILDING - LUNCH TIME
Peter makes a call.
PETER: Darling, when did you arrive office this morning?
WIFE (From phone): I was on time.
Peter looks pleased.
INT. OFFICE - AFTERNOON
Peter talks to a STAFF at the reception.
STAFF: The client hasn't shown up yet.
PETER (V.O.): I'm early. Early isn't dissimilar from on time, as on time carries the risk of being late.
Peter checks his phone time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's already time for the conference. I charge by the minute.
Later, the staff makes a call to someone.
STAFF: The client is downstairs, having coffee.
PETER (V.O.): Enjoying public-funded legal assistance in Hong Kong, the client simply doesn't care.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For the client, time is particularly free. But for me, time is particularly valuable.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Not the money I charge. But my time is running short.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Peter checks the bedside clock.
PETER (V.O.): Time, though illusive, is what every being wants. It reflects the value of life actually.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While time waits for nobody, I take great care of my time.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If we can't manage time, we can manage nothing.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How to use time timely defines who we're.
FADE OUT.
