Driving, PETER is listening to the radio. We hear reports of stock price.
PETER (V.O.): I'm so glad that I'm on my way to the beach.
FLASHBACK
INT. STUDY - 09:00 - 12:00
Peter has one mobile in his hand and another by his side.
PETER (V.O.): I check my stock portfolios with one mobile and my consolidated investment list with the other.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having had three-week experience in buying stocks, I need to refine my investment strategy to do better.
Having checked the status of his orders, Peter checks the time.
END FLASHBACK
Act 2
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH - 13:15 - 14:30
Towing a swim buoy, Peter swims against the waves.
PETER (V.O.): For the past two Mondays, I was in court.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since my retirement, I've worried if I got my Monday syndrome ie having no work to do.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I yearn for Monday, as the stock market would trade again.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Using my "fussy" logic, basing on a number of factors, I've found that my predictive power of stock price isn't bad.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A friend of mine who is a hedge-fund boss does a lot better,. as he treated me with me caviar over tea causully.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Applying one's consistent predictive power in the stock market, making money is easy.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But I believe my little gains have a lot to do with the prevailing low price of Hong Kong stocks.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Trading stocks as an ordinary business of life is one item on my bucket list.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All along, I've been relying on financial advisers to manage my little wealth.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But my experience has been that the more they helped, the more my little wealth dissipated.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):The mystery I want to resolve is whether I've the capacity to make money while I sleep.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I've a little early success story to tell.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I discovered my hidden talent?
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I try to manage my investment diligently as my retirement savings are at stake.
Getting back to the beach, Peter checks his mobile.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I've swum non-stop for an hour.
INT. LAKESIDE RESTAURANT - 15:00 - 15:45
Focusing on his mobile screen rather than the food, Peter is thoughts.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I should re-strategize and execute timely.
Having tapped a couple of times on his mobile, we hear: Ding, Ding.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel rather exhausted.
Peter touches the back of his neck.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Trading includes profits and losses. I know I can't be right all the time.
Act 3
EXT. ROADS- 19:30
Driving, Peter listens to radio news. We hear three persons sharing the Nobel Prize on Economic Science.
PETER (V.O.): I believe the winners must be always right. Incidentally, is it more economical to award the Prize to more than one person?
From the radio, we hear detailed comments on economics.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The financial analysists do the analyses all the time. Is economics too important to leave to economists?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Meanwhile, I'll do what's best for me, myself.
