FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. STUDY - AFTERNOON
Relaxing on a sofa, PETER connects his phones to the charging cables.
PETER (V.O.): What a Monday!
FLASHBACK
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT (Last Saturday)
Phone in hand, Peter checks a Quora notification.
PETER (V.O.): A Quoran asks me what's my Monday feeling. Today's only Saturday.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't like to do professional work on Mondays as it would spoil my preceding Saturdays and Sundays.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I don't feel good to have nothing to do on Monday either.
Act 2
INT. HKUST BUSINESS SCHOOL, CENTRAL - DAY (Monday morning)
Conference room. LADIES and GENTLEMEN. Seeing Peter, the CHAIR remarks.
CHAIR: You look like a professor!
PETER (V.O.): My head must be wearing traces of wisdom.
Later, at the harbour-view coffee bar, Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.): I feel like doing volunteering work on Mondays. It has never been stressful as it isn't confrontational. The exchanges are always intellectual and educational.
Seeing the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife has alerted me of its free service to celebrate Hong Kong, China's achievement in the Tokyo Olympics.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps I should join the celebration by taking a free ride.
EXT. HONG KONG OBSERVATION WHEEL - DAY
Arriving at the queuing point, Peter sees a notice.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This waiting time is 90 minutes? I'll entertain the Quorans while waiting then.
Later, Peter gets on board a Wheel cabin alone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've never expected that I'd occupy a whole cabin! What a welcoming surprise!
Observing Hong Kong, China, Peter is busy capturing video clips and photos with his iPad Mini and phones.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Very steady and cool!
EXT. VICTORIA HARBOUR - DAY
Peter is sitting at the rear of a STAR ferry.
PETER (V.O.): Another free ride - as a senior citizen this time.
EXT. HARBOUR CITY, TSIM SHA TSUI - DAY
Some colourful graphic wall ads catch Peter's attention.
PETER (V.O.): I watched the film Luca a while ago. I loved it.
Posing alongside the ads, Peter takes selfies and checks them.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel I've gone to the movie's fictional Italian town!
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I haven't been to Italy since Milan Expo 2015.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just then I've also gone to Tom Lee Music and spent some money to boost the economy. The credit card banker then sent me a message advising that I can take part in a lucky draw.
Peter checks some details on the phone screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like the gimmicks of using an electronic token to play a virtue claw machine to grab my e-prize.
Having filled in his token particulars, Peter moves and lowers the virtual crane to grab...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It hasn't even grabbed any air!
Peter enters his token particulars again but gets the message: The token has been spent.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I spent $2000 to upset in a few seconds?
Act 3
INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
Recalling.
.PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Luca scene I loved best is when Luca and his friend Alberto are about to try out their homemade Vespa off a cliff.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The daredevil Alberto assures the insecure Luca not to listen to the "Bruno in his head" so that they can just go for it either wonderfully or terribly.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Alberto's full positivity is what I love. I've to silence my inner Bruno. It has been an excellent Monday today.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Silenzio Bruno!
Peter's phones are still being charged, silently.
FADE OUT.
