FLASHBACK
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH CAR PARK - 11:30 (Yesterday)
Sunny. A wet-haired Peter approaches his Previa, digging into his swim bag for the key fob.
PETER (V.O.): Time to return to my NT home to drop off and pick up a few things before heading to the Airport to welcome my elder daughter home.
He presses the fob. Nothing happens. He presses the button again, angling the fob this way and that. Silence.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh no, not now.
Peter continues pressing, growing increasingly anxious.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Come on...
Finally, a beep echoes through the stillness. The doors unlock with a soft click.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 2
EXT/INT. CAR PARTS SHOP, AP LIU STREET - 11:30
Peter parks his Previa near it, leaving the car unlocked. He enters the shop, approaching a young WOMAN behind the counter, holding out his key fobs.
PETER: I called yesterday...these need to be replaced... the car is outside.
The young woman nods confidently, disappears into the back of the shop and returns with new key fobs. She leads Peter outside to the Previa.
PETER (V.O.): Let me see how she syns them with the car's remote control system.
The young woman inserts the car key into the ignition, switching it a few times without starting the engine. Suddenly a beep sounds from the car.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Syned?
The young woman steps out of the car, testing the fobs. They only respond when she's very close to the car.
WOMAN: Hmm, they need to be closer than usual.
She then goes to the shop's workbench, unscrews the fobs, adjusts something, checks it against a reader and closes the casings.
WOMAN: Try these now.
PETER (V.O.): Know-how is often invisible - the quiet confidence in skilled hands that transforms complexity into simplicity.
Peter takes the fobs and walks back to the Previa, He presses the lock and unlock button from a distance and we hear beep, beep sounds.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The true cost of something isn't its price tag, but the depth of know-how required to create or repair it.
Peter returns to the shop counter and pays happily.
EXT. ROADS OF KOWLOON - 11:45
While driving, Peter steals a glance at the key fobs resting on the passenger seat.
PETER (V.O.): Since discussing the expert network with my elder daughter, I've been pondering on why experts choose to participate in the expert network service (ENS) platform.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe that they share the view that expertise isn't a fortress to be defended, but rather a bridge that connects what one person knows to what another needs.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Know-how isn't about having all the answers; its about understanding the questions hidden within the problem.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): True know-how is a map shaped by countless setbacks and lessons learned, enabling experts to guide others along the right path.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For businesses and investors, a single spark of know-how can ignite a solution that saves a thousand resources.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Know-how is the practical application of curiosity. It's a theory put to work, and wisdom made useful.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The world is held together by the silent, steadfast know-how of those who understand how things work.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Don't mistake a quiet expert for a simple one. Their silence is the sound of knowledge being applied, not the absence of it.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A master isn't someone who has nothing left to learn, but someone has learned to recognize mastery in others.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The moment I realize there is a know-how I don't possess is the moment my own wisdom truly begins.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 21:30
Peter uploads an image of car key fobs to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): Know-how doesn't need to shout. Its value is proclaimed in the smooth click of a lock or the clear picture on a screen.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Know-how is the currency of competence. It appreciates with use and is never devalued by time.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The most powerful tool isn't the one in my hand, it's the know-how in my mind that tells it what to do.
