  2. Act 1


  3. INT. HOTEL ROOM - MORNING

  4. Waking up, PETER sees KAJI sleeping near his feet.


  5. PETER (V.O.): She recognises her spot. Whether the bed is new to her doesn't matter.


  6. INT. RESTAURANT - LATER


  7. Peter and his WIFE are packing food and drink.


  8. PETER: (V.O.): This is the first time we'd take away our buffet breakfast.


  9. Pausing.


  10. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We just don't want to leave our pet inside the room for too long.


  11. INT. HOTEL ROOM - LATER


  12. While Peter and his wife are having breakfast, Kaji refuses to consume any of hers.


  13. PETER: But it's her meal time...


  14. Act 2


  15. INT. HOME - AFTERNOON


  16. Lying in her bed sleepily, Kaji sees Peter and his wife leaving home.


  17. WIFE: Kai Kai?


  18. Kaji isn't interested.


  19. PETER: The timing isn't right.


  20. INT. HOTEL - LATER


  21. Filling in some forms, Peter and his wife are checking in.


  22. PETER (V.O.): When I travelled alone, I liked to check in different hotels so that I'd have better exposure to a city.


  23. EXT. ROOF-TOP SWIMMING POOL - LATER


  24. Sunny. Peter finishes his swimming.


  25. PETER (V.O.): The roof-top swimming pools, apart from the views, they don't meet my expectations.


  26. Recalling.


  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The one in my estate home is a lot better. Still, I prefer to swim in the sea.


  28. Peter then gets inside a cone-shaped shade to relax.


  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's pretty nice to break from my routine like this.


  30. INT - HOTEL ROOM - LATER


  31. Sitting in bed with her laptop, Peter's wife is checking something.


  32. WIFE: Would you be available in about three weeks?


  33. PETER: Just pick the dates that are convenient to you.


  34. WIFE: I want to fix another hotel booking, before you take your second jab.


  35. Nodding, Peter's recalling.

  36. .

  37. PETER (V.O.): Yesterday, a very good friend suggested we should have lunch together. I welcomed that and suggested a date.


  38. Pausing.


  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It was my first available slot just before my taking the first jab. But she couldn't make it because of some grandmotherly errands.


  40. Pausing.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): So we'll meet for lunch days later. I hope I can make it.


  42. WIFE: Done! I've booked the hotel already.


  43. PETER: Good.


  44. PETER (V.O.): Although the life risk of taking jabs is very low, there's still the risk.

  45. Pausing.


  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife feels it. And there's no harm for us to take staycations meanwhile.


  47. WIFE (Cont'd): I've also done other incidental reservations.


  48. INT. RESTAURANT - NIGHT


  49. Peter and his wife are seated.


  50. PETER: It's called Sagano. Your choice! Very good!


  51. WIFE: We've been to Sagano two times.


  52. PETER: Yes, I remember that very well.


  53. Pausing.


  54. PETER: In Geneva, there's a restaurant called Sagano as well. I used to host lunches there.


  55. WIFE: Is that right? You've never taken me there!


  56. PETER (V.O.): Since retirement, I've never set foot in Geneva.


  57. Act 3


  58. INT. HOTEL ROOM - LATER


  59. PETER: The dinner sets are very nice.


  60. WIFE: I was so full.


  61. PETER: And we've the vacation feel too!


  62. PETER (V.O.): There's no right time as to when to break from our routine. There's just time and what we choose to do with it.


  63. Pausing.


  64. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I trust the timing of our lives.
