Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In January, I walked in through the path and came out by boat. Last Thursday, I took the boat first.
A smile plays on his lips.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Two visits, Same cave. Same travel agency. Different memories.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. DONTIAN WONDERLAND - 12:30 (17 June 2026)
Peter emerges from the cave and walks towards a group of stores.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know my way.
He stops at a modest corner store with a handwritten sign: Fresh White Bean Curd - Winter Honey - Local Specialties.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is it.
He checks the rows of honey jars on the wooden table - deep amber, glowing in the afternoon light.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Same price.
The PROPRIETOR approaches Peter.
PETER: I bought a jar of winter honey in January this year.
PROPRIETOR: Is that right?
She tries to recognize Peter.
PETER: Every morning, I've a spoonful in warm water. I'm about to finish the jar.
PROPRIETOR: So you came all the way back for more?
PETER: I'm interested to know if you've honey better than the winter honey...
PROPRIETOR: How about rock honey?
The Proprietory pulls out her phone and shows Peter how rock honey is collected.
PROPRIETOR: They're rare.
PETER: Give me a discount. I buy two jars.
Peter pays. And the proprietor points to the pudding pot.
PROPRIETOR: Free bowl of bean curb pudding. On the house. My treat.
Peter brinks.
PROPRIETOR: You came back. That means my honey is good, yes?
The proprietor serves Peter a generous bowl of pudding.
PETER: Thank you.
Peter eats. The proprietor watches him with a warm smile. She notices his bowl getting low. Then, she scoops another portion into his bowl, topping it up.
PETER: Oh...
Peter finishes the second helping.
PETER (V.O.): She's so kind...
PETER (Cont'd): I buy another big jar of winter honey.
Peter pays.
PETER (V.O.): I don't ask for discount this time.
PROPRIETOR: I know the price of my honey isn't cheap.
PETER: That should reflect the quality...
The Proprietor carefully pack all the honey jars for Peter.
PETER (V.O.): Quite heavy.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:00
Peter uploads an image to a draft on his laptop. It shows part of the Qingyuan's Dontian Wonderland.
PETER (V.O.): I took the photo in Qingyuan last Thursday. A place changes me. Returning shows me how.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Wonder is not a place. It's a relationship. Kindness is the souvenir that never expires.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The wonder of returning is this: I leave with a souvenir, but I return with a story.
