FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
Waking up, PETER looks happy.
PETER (V.O.): My knee pain has diminished.
Peter gets out of bed to walk a few steps.
PETER (V.O.): Being able to walk pain-free is a blessing. Yesterday morning, when I tried to straighten or bend my right leg, I could hear some popping sounds.
FLASHBACK
EXT. PARK - DAY
Having tried to run a bit in an awkward fashion, Peter stops.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, it's so painful. I jog instead.
After jogging in an imbalanced fashion for a while, Peter stops at an open space to practise his dance footwork.
EXT. PARK - NIGHT
Having just jogged a hundred meters, Peter stops to take a photo of a flower lit up by a trail lamp.
PETER (V.O.): I like the image. It reflects the mood of my wife and me today. Our younger daughter has returned home from the UK early this morning.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As she is being self-quarantined in my previous spot, I've to come out more often.
END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For the past couple weeks, running and dancing have become my exercises as I couldn't go swimming.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Once I've become passionate on something, I can be quite unstoppable. Should I run and dance again this morning?
Act 2
INT. MINI STUDY - DAY
PETER (V.O.): Let me decide basing not on my determination but on scientific investigation.
Peter proceeds to surf the web.
PETER (V.O.): My symptom is an aching pain around my right kneecap. Have I overused or strained my right leg tendons?
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Probably, I begin my running and most of my dancing footworks with my right leg.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And what's the main treatment?
Peter continues to read the small prints on the screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I knew it - resting. But I still want to practise some dance footwork. Let me first refresh my memory.
On his computer screen, Peter clicks the "Play Video" icon but nothing is moving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Google Chrome doesn't play YouTube videos? What's wrong? My computer was OK not too long ago.
Peter checks the Internet connection speed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's excellent.
Peter does a number of clicks: close and restart, clear cache and cookies to troubleshoot the problem.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although I can do without it as there're substitute browsers, I still want to solve the problem.
The YouTube videos still don't play.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me use another browser.
Peter then uses Internet Explorer to open them and they play without any hiccup.
Recalling something.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I updated my Google Chrome browser?
Peter clicks a number of icons on the screen and we see action in a downloading bar.
Remembering something.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Google Chrome doesn't work in mainland China at all. I used to use Firefox in the office. Perhaps, I should download the open-sourced browser.
Peter also downloads Firefox in his computer and his phones.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd) (Frustrated): Nothing has changed in my computer. There's no apparent problem. My computer is quite clean. Let me try the last resort: reset.
Peter clicks reset. And after a while, the videos begin to play.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd) (Relieved): At last, I've solved the problem. If I don't tackle it correctly, it won't go away by itself.
Peter checks the time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I haven't gone to the park to practise my dance footwork this morning!
Act 3
INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
PETER (V.O.): Upon reflection, I should take a rest and allow my tendons to recover.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I should endure my "pain" of not running and dancing for a while so that I shall enjoy more gain later.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There can't be a rainbow without a little rain.
EXT. PARK - NIGHT
Peter is practising a few Viennese Waltz footwork.
PETER (V.O.): I see. The gentleman starts with the right foot.
Track. Peter attempts to do a Samba's Volta footwork.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Again, I start with my right foot. I twisted my body and turned too much. In relearning dancing, I've first learned, like life, only to do good twists and turns.
FADE OUT.
THE END
