Act 1
Waking up, PETER looks refreshed. He checks the bedside clock.
PETER (V.O): I've slept for eight hours, more than I had the past few nights.
Stretching, Peter gets out of bed.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I feel ready to take on the day.
INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Peter sees the empty dining table.
PETER (V.O): The maid must be on leave.
Peter sees KAJI, the family pet, staring at him.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): She lives for the present.
PETER (To Kaji): I'm going to buy breakfast for us!
Act 2
INT. LIVING ROOM - 11:00
Peter and his WIFE join a Zoom seminar. On screen, we see: TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean).
PETER (V.O.): Soon after her retirement, my wife enrolled an introductory course in Korean.
Watching.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I had no hesitation to join her. It'd be fun for us to be classmates as well.
Watching.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And soon, we'll join our elder daughter in TOPIK.
Watching.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Our incentive is to get subsidy from CEF (Continuing Education Fund).
When the seminar ends, Peter turns to work on his laptop.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've got to issue a fee note before my June travel.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I did substantive work yesterday. My instructing solicitor was so pleased that he urged me to send him my fee note.
Typing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Right now, doing my professional work is easier than learning Korean.
Later, Peter watches his wife taking a mock online exam in Korean.
PETER: You're quick in comprehending and typing the Korean characters.
Soon, his wife checks her results.
WIFE: Oh, I've made a few mistakes...
PETER: OMG...I won't take the mock exam now. I've a lot of catching up to do.
PETER (V.O.): I need to prepare my travel to Osaka.
Mobile in hand, Peter visits the Visit Japan website, fills in an e-form and gets a QR code for immigration clearance and customs declarations.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Done! Having done the same frequently, I've become pretty quick in completing the e-process.
Then, Peter checks in his outgoing flight from Hong Kong to Osaka and gets another QR code.
PETER: Darling, you said you'd drive me to the Airport...
PETER (V.O): I've asked my wife to join my monthly travels many times, but she's been unyielding and thinks I'm inflexible.
WIFE: When will you be back?
PETER: Just in time to catch our Korean evening class...
WIFE: That means you've to bring your textbook, worksheets and study while in Osaka...
PETER: Oh, yes, I'll study Korean while flying and staying in hotels...
His wife bursts into laughter and Peter looks embarrassed.
PETER (Cont'd): I want to walk the family's pet turtle in the park now.
WIFE: And afterwards, we'll walk our Shiba Inu...I've to support a friend's dancing performance tonight.
PETER: I've to eat alone on a Saturday night?
WIFE: Yes... I suggest you go to the mall's Japanese restaurant...
Later, we see Peter practising the piano alone.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 21:45
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Zoom, Travel & Study ..." to a draft.
PETER (V.O): As an old man, I'm still actively pursuing new skills and challenges.
Peter takes another look of the AI drawing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've been adapting to and taking advantage of technological advancements to accomplish my objectives.
We hear harmonic and rhythmic oldies from the extra-bass Bluetooth speakers.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Creating my balanced lifestyle, I glance at the past, live in the present and focus on the future.
