I am never tired of seeing cherry blossoms, anywhere. But whenever I see azalea blossoms in Hong Kong, my emotional intensity is deeper. I would remember my late grandmother's little hobby, when life was very hard.

We are born different. Whether we are burning hot or icy-cold just represents the opposite ends of an emotional intensity continuum. It is a personal choice if we express and act on our inner high or low emotional intensity.

For performers, they have to display at least some emotional intensity in their performances eg dancing or singing, or the art forms might not mean much to the audience. I could not compose anything good if I am not in the mood of creating it. I also find that the higher emotional intensity I attach to a creative work, the better its quality.

My emotional intensity drives my passion. It impacts on my practice to add value in whatever that I do. That I still have the incentive to create reflects that my emotional intensity has not gone mellow with my age!
