"When does communication take place?" is the question. "When you speak, or write, or use any communication medium?" as some might think. "Or only when the message is understood?" - my query.

A mind map that maps the mind, using connections and associations can be a good tool to stimulate learning. A mind map is like a spider diagram centering around a high concept and showing the direct and indirect contextual relationships among relevant data, information and knowledge. Mind maps of complex organizational relationships enhance learning, visual thinking and decision making.

In creating mind maps, system actors need to identify the high concept's radial hierarchy, the key roles of related institutions and the objectives of other sequential processes.

Mind maps use images and colours in addition to words and numbers to convey big pictures and lots of information. Mind maps mirror how humans think in a radiant manner and therefore quicken deep learning and memorizing than the superficial words-only text notes.

Whenever I want to communicate a complex subject (like intellectual property) in a simple manner to my audience, I would create my own creative mind maps. In addition to using thematic colourful photos, I would structure the data, information and knowledge like the Three - Acts of a Hollywood screenplay and adapt them in the PowerPoint format. My visual-aided narrative greatly assists my communication, making my messages relevant, compelling and resonating to my audience!
