INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

KAJI watches PETER going out.

KAJI (V.O.)

I feel so lonely on a rest day.

FLASHBACK

INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

Waking up on her small sofa, KAJI sees her MAID (40s) leaving home.

KAJI (V.O.)

Oh, you don't prepare

breakfast for my darling

and me! Today must be

your rest day. But I've

become restless!

The table clock registers 10:00.

KAJI (V.O.)

It's my meal time but

no one's around. I

follow my routine

religiously, but others

aren't religious on a

rest day!

As the table clock registers 10:40, the PACK LEADER comes out from the sleeping room and puts food in Kaji's meal bowl.

KAJI (V.O.)

You're very late. I'm so

hungry.

Then, the pack leader and Peter leave home.

KAJI (V.O.)

I see that. They only go

out together on a rest

day.

A beat.

Coming home alone, the pack leader begins to work on her computer. Then, Peter's home.

KAJI (V.O.)

Okay! I can rest by his

side...

Before Kaji can lean on him, Peter's phone rings and he engages in the conversation.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Both of you are still

busy on a rest day.

For me, I'm unsure of

where the rest day is

going to take me.

Finishing her work and taking out a treat, the pack leader begins to play with Kaji.

KAJI (V.O.)

(Whining)

Come on, I can't wait!

Why do you insist my

reacting to your silly

commands before

saying OK!

Unwillingly, Kaji obeys and reacts to all the commands.

PACK LEADER

OK!

KAJI (V.O.)

What a fuss!

Kaji gets her bone-like treat on a coffee table and finishes it in a few moments.

PACK LEADER

So quick! Stay home, I

go to the grocery store.

Before Kaji can react, she sees Peter peeling an orange. Peter then shares some inside goodness with her.

KAJI (V.O.)

I hope a little bit of

that orange thing

won't do me harm.

Kaji quickly consumes it.

PETER

Stay home. Be a good

dog.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Yes, I'm good but lonely.

RETURN TO PRESENT

KAJI (V.O.)(Cont''d)

How can I fix this?

Kaji goes to her toy box and grabs a toy.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

I can't eat it, and it isn't

responsive!

Pausing.

KAJI(V.O.) (Cont'd)

Worst still, I feel super

single! I can't be strong

enough to enjoy my

life without depending

on others!

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

But, I've to overcome that.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

I believe they'd miss me.

Later today, I'd get twice

the hug, twice the love,

and twice my pride!
