INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

Sitting in the chairperson seat, KAJI watches the PACK LEADER and the GANG having breakfast.

KAJI (V.O.)

Oh, today, the pack

leader doesn't have

to go to work. We can

have breakfast together.

Give me some...

PETER

(To pack leader)

Has she eaten already?

PACK LEADER

Yes! Don't give her

anything! Our food

isn't suitable for her!

PETER

(To Kaji)

No ah...

KAJI (V.O.)

So upsetting...

Having had his breakfast, Peter retreats to a sofa. Aimlessly, Kaji picks up a tennis ball from her toy box.

KAJI (V.O.)

If I have nothing else

better to do, I'd pick

up a tennis ball and

see if others would

play with me. I like

to chase and hunt.

PETER

(Gesturing to Kaji)

Bring it over!

KAJI (V.O.)

You want to play

with me? Okay...

Holding up the ball well in her mouth, Kaji brings it over and drops it at Peter's feet.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)

Here it is...

Picking up the tennis ball, Peter throws it away, but Kaji isn't responsive.

FLASHBACK

EXT. DOG GARDEN - DAY

Dogs of different breeds, including Shiba Inu, humans and some tennis balls. Kaji is quite alone in the midst of them.

KAJI (V.O.)

Although friends would

like to play with me, I'm

not that anxious.

Pausing.

As we aren't at home,

I don't need to stick

close to the pack leader

and the gang.

As to playing with

the tennis balls, it

really depends on

my mood.

My mood isn't right

now. Although I fear

the pack leader's

scolding tone, I also

desire food. I've none

in the end.

game with you. I've

won't cooperate on

non-work days.

Peter looks frustrated.

days when you'd share

your breakfast with me.

INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY

Kaji sees Peter waking up.

KAJI (V.O.)

Peter! Get out of bed

and have breakfast!

Kaji earnestly escorts Peter out.

INT. DINNING ROOM - DAY

Breakfast on the table. Kaji takes her floor position, focusing on Peter's next move.

KAJI (V.O.)

Our fetch game is

about to begin!

As Peter throws a little bit of bread in the air, Kaji hops, fetches and eats it.

I've to be particularly

agile as Peter may

throw two bits at the

same time. Here they

come!

Op! Kaji captures both.

Kaji licks a bit her lips upwards and downwards.

Leave me alone on non-

work days. I'll cooperate

with you on work days.

Walking away, Kaji doesn't give Peter another look.
