FADE IN.
INT. AIRCRAFT - DUSK
PETER observes from a window seat.
PETER (V.O.)
Yes, the moon and the
stars.
Peter takes a photo with his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
It's really good to
see and feel first
hand how my elder
daughter is doing in
Fukuoka.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I expect her to be as
good as she meant to
be... and my other
children the same too.
EXT. BUS - NIGHT
Peter checks a phone notification.
PETER (V.O.)
Oh, the air tickets of
that airline is on sale
again. I've only fixed
my Dec and Jan
trips. Where should
I go in Feb?
INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT
Peter and his WIFE chat over dinner.
PETER
Would you go to the
Airport to greet our
son back tomorrow?
WIFE
(Energetically)
Yes!
PETER (V.O.)
Yes, she hasn't seen
him since Feb. Only
my elder son and I
saw him in Australia
in July.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
And he's going back
to Australia next Feb
to begin his third year
in medicine... Time
flies.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Should I give him
support regarding housing
matters next Feb? Or
should I go to see my
elder daughter again?
Peter remembers something.
PETER (V.O.)
Oh yes, my younger
daughter will come home
during her Christmas
break.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Haven't heard direct from
her since we parted in
England in Sept.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)
And my elder son has
just begun a more
challenging job. As his
ability has been well
proven, he should be
Okay.
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
Lying against the bed back, Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.)
Answering these travel
questions makes me
happy. They remind me
of the good times I've
had since my initial
retirement in May 2014.
It's good to share the
experience... let me
insert a photo.
As he scrolls down his phone and sees the photo of the moon and stars, Peter stops.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
How come I've attracted
to this photo ... Oh, it
actually depicts the
proverb I used to lead
myself.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Yes: Aim at the moon,
and if you miss, you'd
still be among the stars.
I just hope: Like father,
like sons and daughters!
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Yes, I take time out to
reflect on my fatherhood.
I want to become an even
better father!
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - NIGHT
Peter walks happily towards the estate car park.
PETER (V.O.)
I must confess that I'm
feeling high to greet and
and meet my younger
son at the Airport!
Peter looks up at the sky and sees the moon and the stars.
