  1. FADE IN

  2.

  3. Act 1

  4.

  5. INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY (Days ago)

  6. KAJI, (curled like a golden-brown croissant), lies on the tile floor.

  7. KAJI (V.O.): Too silent.

  8. Recalling.

  9. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Pack Leader and Peter weren't home for several days.

  10.

  11. Pausing.

  12. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our maid feeds me punctually, but that's all.

  13. Kaji takes a look of the leash on its hook.

  14. INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

  15.

  16. Keys jangle. Kaji explodes off the floor. Her front paws skid on tile. The PACK LEADER and PETER stumble in, tired, dragging suitcases. Kaji is a tornado of joy.

  17. KAJI (V.O.): They're back. The world is whole again!

  18.  Act 2

  19. INT. BEDROOM - MORNING (Today)

  20. Kaji stands on Peter's chest. She licks his nose.

  21. Peter groans. Opens one eye.

  22. KAJI (V.O.): It's our breakfast time.

  23. INT. DINING ROOM - LATER

  24. Peter and Kaji sit across each other, sharing a loaf of bread.

  25. EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - AFTERNOON

  26. A low-hanging gray sky. Kaji trots ahead of the Pack Leader and Peter.

  27.

  28. KAJI (V.O.): It's ususual we come out at this time.

  29.

  30. Then, the Pack Leader and Peter rush.

  31. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not surprised. The signs are there.

  32. Pausing.

  33. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd) I feel the air pressure.

  34. They rush towards a housing estate.

  35. INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER

  36. As soon as they enter, they hear a noise.

  37. PACK LEADER: The sky cracks open.

  38. Kaji's whole body becomes a low, trembling loaf. She looks at the rain at the window.

  39. KAJI (V.O.): I hear the scary noise too.

  40. Later, Peter pulls a guitar from its bag.

  41. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He hasn't played for a long time.

  42. Peter strums. A chord. Then another. Clumsy. Loud. Not good.

  43. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He makes noises. Strings screech.

  44. Peter keeps playing. The guitar vibrates through the floor, through her bones.

  45. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But they're his noises. I know them.

  46. Kaji takes a look of the window.

  47. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The sky's noises are strangers.

  48. Kaji's eyes stay wide. Her breathing slows. Her head lowers onto Peter's thigh. The guitar keeps buzzing.

  49. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a messy warm shield.

  50. Rain lashes the glass. Thunder rolls. Kaji doesn't move.

  51. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Chaos is bearable as long as it smells like the person I love.

  52. Pausing.

  53. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Better his good noise than the world's silence.

  54. Pausing.

  55. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The sky has no intention. Peter's guitar does. That's what makes it a good noise.

  56. Pausing.

  57. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I havn't stopped trembling. But I've stopped trembling alone.

  58. Act 3

  59. INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER

  60.

  61. Resting on a sofa, Kaji looks calm.

  62.  KAJI (V.O.): Love isn't the absence of noise. It's the one noise I stop being afraid of.

  63. Pausing.

  64. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't need to silence the storms. I just need someone to sit in it with me.

  65. Kaji takes a look of Peter.

  66. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): A good noise is just love I can hear.

  67. FADE OUT

  68.

  69. THE END
