FADE IN.
Act 1
EXT. THE PENISULA - 1:45pm
Exit. Peter and his WIFE leave the classy hotel.
PETER: We've stayed here for about 22 hours.
WIFE: Why do you count the hours?
PETER: I'm just thinking if we've maximized our stay here.
PETER (V.O.): This is the first time we've stayed inside a hotel for that long.
Turning around, PETER captures an image of the Hotel and checks it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Quite a nice shot, although I can't quite focus under the sunshine.
Focusing on the high block.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our room was on the 22/F. It was only yesterday that I knew the high block is seamlessly connected to the low block.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. HOTEL RECEPTION - LIFT LOBBY - 3:45pm (Yesterday)
Leaving the G/F reception, Peter and his wife go to the lift lobby.
WIFE: The receptionist says all 4 lifts take us to our room floor.
Nodding, Peter looks excited.
INT. HOTEL ROOM - LATER
As Peter's wife opens the window curtain, we see the stunning Victoria Harbour view.
WIFE: I've paid extra for this.
PETER: Few rooms can command such a spectacular view.
After taking some photos, Peter looks down from the window.
PETER (V.O.): I can see the Hotel's fountain and its fleet of green Rolls-Royce down under.
RETURN TO THE PRESENT
Peter and his wife walk past the Hotel's Rolls-Royce fleet.
WIFE: These're old models right?
PETER: Yes. But for a vintage hotel, they're just classy. If patrons don't like them, they can use the Hotel's heliservices.
INT/EXT. HOTEL'S CHINA CLIPPER LOUNGE - HELIPAD - 6:00pm (Yesterday)
A guided tour of China Clipper. In an aviation-themed lounge on 30/F, Peter and his wife are debriefed by a lady GUIDE and a SAFETY OFFICER. Later, they're led to walk up to the helipad.
PETER: Wow, services can range from 5-19 flights a day. Where to refuel the Hotel's helicopters?
SAFETY OFFICER: At the Shek Kong Airfield.
PETER: I don't know it's still playing an important function!
Against the panoramic view of the city skyline, the Safety Officer takes photos for Peter and his wife.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Then, they walk past the Hotel's fountain.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOTEL SWIMMING POOL - 7:15pm (Yesterday)
Small but elegant with a little fountain. Having swum a little, Peter gets out to rest on a poolside chair.
PETER (V.O.): I'd better stop swimming, having bumped into one lady swimmer, and shortly thereafter, another. It's so small.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I can hear music in the water. There's attention to details.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Hotel's swimming pool is on 8/F. Later, my wife and I had dinner in the Hotel's 28/F restaurant.
INT. HOTEL RESTAURANT - 8.00pm (Yesterday)
Peter and his wife are seated in a table facing iSquare.
WIFE: Oh, no harbour view.
PETER: That's Okay. Our room is just 6 floors below. The harbour view here should be similar.
They then focus on the different courses of their dinner.
Act 3
INT. HOTEL LOBBY - 9:45am (Today)
Peter and his wife are having a Chinese breakfast.
PETER: Why did you choose the Peninsula for staycation, just before taking your 1st jab?
WIFE: But for our stay, we won't be having breakfast here, for the first time.
PETER: True.
RETURN TO PRESENT
EXT. THE PENISULA - CONTINUOUS
Turning a corner, Peter and his wife arrive at a bus stop.
.PETER (V.O.): We got off here about 22 hours ago.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): After our retreat in the Peninsula, we're advancing in a new direction.
FADE OUT.
THE END
