  5. Messy. A Redmi in hand, PETER is learning Korean via the Duollingo app.

  7. PETER (V.O.): Last April, I began learning Korean with my wife in SPACE, HKU.


  8. Pausing.


  9. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): What I enjoyed the most was our dinners before the classes.


  10. Pausing.


  11. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I failed in the exam and couldn't move on like my wife.


  12. Pausing.


  13. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But I still maintain our dinners before her Korean classes.

  15. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But I've to work this afternoon...

  18. EXT. STREET - 13:20


  19. Walking towards a MTR station, Peter, in a three-piece suit, notices WhatsApp messages.


  20. PETER (V.O): I meant to fix just one brake light of the Beetle, and now, the car repairer suggests over 10 repair items.


  21. Pausing.


  22. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Prevention is better than cure, but the car passed the roadsworthy test not too long ago.


  23. Pausing.


  24. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My car repairer has been repairing my six old cars. I observe his business has been on the decline.


  25. Peter types "OK "on screen.


  26. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): That's my indirect way to maintain jobs...But I need extra money to pay for the bill.


  27. Peter checks the Yahoo!Finance app and then a bank's securities app.


  28. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Let me place a trading order and see if I can sell some stocks of a car company at a reasonable price.


  29. EXT. IMMIGRATION DEPT HQ - 15:15


  30. Exiting, Peter turns on his smartphone to check messages.


  31. PETER (V.O): Oh, what a pleasant surprise! My Sell order has been executed while I was accompanying my client in a screening interview.


  32. INT. LIVING ROOM - 16:30


  33. Returning, Peter asks his WIFE who is preparing for her Korean class.


  34. PETER: Has the plumbing problem been fixed?


  35. WIFE: No, the plumber has identified the leakage problem...it'd only be fixed tomorrow...It's quite a job.


  36. PETER: Still, the earlier that's done, the better.


  37. WIFE: I'm attending my last Korean class this evening...are we having dinner together?


  38. PETER: I've to send some notes and documents to the Duty Lawyer Service...See if I can finish the job in an hour.


  39. INT. STUDY - 17:15


  40. Surrounded by papers, Peter is sending an email, attaching many files via his laptop.


  41. PETER (V.O): While I don't want to miss the pre-class dinner with my wife, I also want to get this done now.


  42. After clicking the "Send" button on Hotmail, Peter checks the delivery status.


  43. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Done! If I didn't manage the storage yesterday, I'd not be able to send them now.


  44. INT. RESTAURANT - 18:15


  45. Stylish. Peter and his WIFE are having dinner.


  46. PETER: Today, I've sold some stocks to pay for the car and plumbing repairs.


  47. WIFE: Have you got profits?


  48. PETER: I bought them at $18.80 per share in late 2021 and sold them at $19.20...


  49. WIFE: That's peanuts.


  50. PETER: It's better than selling them at a big loss.


  51. INT. STUDY - 20:30


  52. Putting aside his wet swimming brief and goggles, Peter can't wait to open his laptop.


  53. PETER (V.O): I know the papers for tomorrow's 9:30 meeting have arrived hours ago, but my phone isn't capable of letting me read them.

  56. INT. STUDY - 21:45

  58. Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "A Stitch in Time..." to a draft on his laptop.

  60. PETER (V.O): It's important to address issues early to prevent them from becoming larger problems.

  63. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The ideal time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is today. Moreover, I worry that I might forget.

  66. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I won't wait as the perfect moment won't come. Time is what I value most, and I'd use it wisely.
