FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. STUDY - MORNING
PETER works on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): Let me issue this invoice before I go to the beach.
EXT. ROADS - AFTERNOON
Driving, Peter listens to the radio: ...Hong Kong women's table tennis team has won a bronze medal...
PETER (V.O.): Good - a variety of medal colours.
Listening.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Hong Kong trio came back from behind...
Listening.
PETER (V.O.): Claimed bronze is something, if they had expected none.
Act 2
INT. GOLDEN COAST BEACH - LATER
Entering the beach area, Peter sees a red flag.
PETER (V.O.): Rough water or thunderstorms...
At the beach, Peter walks seawards.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh no! It's so dirty.
Returning to a beach bench, Peter taps his phone screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since I've come, let me feel the breeze and listen to the waves as I entertain some Quorans' answer requests.
INT. RESTAURANT - LATER
Raining. Finishing his afternoon tea, Peter taps the phone screen.
PETER (V.O.): A Quoran asks me what motivates hard work and resilience the most?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I had first-hand experience: Hunger & Shelter.
Peter types his answer on the phone.
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - LATER
Peter does his routine decluttering.
PETER (V.O.): I won't dump much today as the garbage may get wet.
Peter spots a bottle opener with 5 rings on it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I bought it in a stadium souvenir store when I first visited Munich in 1989.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These 5 rings have become particularly relevant today.
Peter captures images before checking other phone notifications.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): "What are some good things from your country that we can follow it to our life?" That's another answer request from another Quoran.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hong Kong, China, has been a Special Administrative Region of China since 1997. One of the good things from us is our can-do culture.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Let me use Hong Kong, China's Olympic achievement to demonstrate that.
Peter surfs the web.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The ranking of Hong Kong, China in Tokyo 2020 is quite remarkable - better than some countries.
Peter inserts an image depicting primarily 4 rings in his Quora answer.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, we've got 4 medals so far.
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - NIGHT
Hearing phone notifications, Peter reads them.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, they relate to my professional work.
Having typed on the phone, Peter sees a prompt reply.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Want to talk? Let me go back to my urban home first.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - NIGHT
Having engaged in lengthy phone conversations, Peter ends the call.
PETER (V.O.): I don't mind doing extra without charge - my way to celebrate Hong Kong, China's Olympic success!
Turning on the TV, Peter looks perplexed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hong Kong, China has got a total of 5 Olympic medals? Two bronzes today?
Checking with his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In women's solo kata. What a record! I'd better amend my earlier Quora answer timely.
Peter does the editing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And for today's blogpost, the featured image should be one with 5 rings.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While the 5 rings are meant to represent 5 continents, they mean to me a total of 5 medals for Hong Kong, China, on August 5, 2021.
Peter begins to work on his laptop.
FADE OUT.
THE END
