FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. DINING ROOM - SUNDAY NIGHT (APRIL 18)
PETER dines with his FAMILY.
PETER: I still couldn't find the car key. I'll arrange to make a replacement one on Wednesday. I've work to do on Monday and Tuesday.
EXT. MTR TRAIN - MONDAY AFTERNOON (APRIL 19)
Peter looks restless.
PETER (V.O.): I've lost my equilibrium, my car key and my pride. I've an urge to make the replacement car key earlier.
Peter types on the phone and checks replies.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the earliest is Wednesday. That fits in with my plan.
Peter looks relieved.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Looking forward to that. Meanwhile, I'll continue to ensure that I won't lose the remaining key.
Act 2
INT. OFFICE - TUESDAY AFTERNOON (APRIL 20)
Peter wraps up a conference with a CLIENT.
PETER (V.O.): I've earned more than enough for the cost of the replacement car key.
EXT. ROADS - WEDNEDAY MORNING (APRIL 21)
Peter's driving his WIFE in a deep blue saloon car.
PETER (V.O.): Yes, the car is now holding the key. It's so easy to lose but so hard to find.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Soon, I'll have a replacement one, and I needn't worry anymore.
Later, having parked the car, Peter gets a phone message.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the locksmith I found over the web couldn't make it today...Tomorrow afternoon?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I meant to go to Gold Coast to swim in the morning. But the locksmith holds the potential replacement car key.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Okay, just wait for another day. I hope I wouldn't lose the car key meanwhile.
Peter checks the car key he is holding.
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - THURSAY AFTERNOON (APRlL 22)
Inside his car, Peter waits. Later, the locksmith's car arrives.
PETER (V.O.): At last for the one-stop service.
Passing the car key to the LOCKSMITH, Peter observes how the locksmith does his work with help of hardware.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd) : I won't interrupt him. A job has to be done right.
Peter continues to watch, checking the phone time. Meanwhile, an estate CARETAKER passes by.
CARETAKER: Your car can only be parked here as long as you're here.
PETER: The locksmith is making a replacement key for my car.
Peter sees the locksmith is still checking his computer.
PETER (V.O.): It's been over an hour now. It's seems that the locksmith is encountering a problem.
The locksmith talks to Peter.
LOCKSMITH: I need a special cable. I've to drive back to my workplace to get it. You wait here.
PETER: Why?
LOCKSMITTH: I've disassembled the car lock. The car can't be started up now.
Peter sees car-lock parts at the driver seat.
LOCKSMITH: I won't be back at least after an hour.
Peter nods helplessly.
PETER (V.O.): I don't mind to have lunch later. But the problem is that I can't even go to the loo.
Waiting, Peter checks Quora notifications.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No, I'm disinclined to entertain any answer request.
Peter takes a deep breath.
Act 3
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - LATER
Seeing the return of the locksmith's car, Peter looks relieved.
PETER (V.O.): I hope he has a solution to the problem.
The locksmith works diligently and seems making progress. Then, Peter is delighted to see and hear his car locking and unlocking.
LOCKSMITH: To compensate for your waiting, I'm making two replacement keys for you.
Peter sees that.
PETER: Then, I give you an extra $500 on top of $1500.
Peter pays for the car keys.
PETER (V.O.): The locksmith has spent 4 hours for my order. It's a win-win.
INT. RESTAURANT - LATER
PETER (V.O.): It's after 5pm and I'm having my lunch. I'm not complaining.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Without any worry, I've just swum happily at Gold Coast.
FADE OUT.
