INT. STUDY - 10:00
PETER is reading an annual statement of an insurance policy.
PETER (V.O.): The insurer expects my policy would continue beyond age 138.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wildest dream is to live to age 133. The insurer cherishes me more.
Peter checks the time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My engagement today is to have lunch with an accountant couple who're my old friends.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Due to the emerging 6th wave of Covid-19, we've changed the venue to a restaurant at Jardine's Lookout.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yearning for my mini tour, I can't wait to go.
Act 2
INT. JARDINE'S RESTAURANT - 12:30
Members only. Few GUESTS. Following a LADY and a GENTLEMAN, Peter takes a seat at a table for three.
LADY & GENTLEMAN: We often come here for dim-sums.
PETER: How nice! I'm waiting for my wife to retire so that I may do the same.
LADY: We had lunch together before going to the Government House to get our SBS.
PETER: Oh yes, that was in 2014. Eight years ago now.
LADY: If the golden era begins at age 60...
GENTLEMAN: Let's do our orders first.
PETER (V.O.): Not having seen each other for over half a year, we've so much to share.
They do orders together.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As senior citizens, we know so much of what happens in life is out of our control.
Dim-sums put on the table.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We exchange whatever ideas how to respond to it.
They begin eating.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's like a mutual therapy.
They continue chatting.
INT. MTR STATION - 14:30
At gates, Peter searches his trouser pockets.
PETER (V.O.): Where're my keychains and the Octopus card? They should be in one of the pockets.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was holding them in my hand shortly before entering the restaurant.
Worrying.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I'm excited or preoccupied, I can become careless.
Searching his hand bag, Peter finds the stuff.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What a consoling moment!
INT. TRAIN CABIN - 15:00
After having some screen time, Peter checks his hand bag.
PETER (V.O.): OMG, my hat isn't there!
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I left it in the restaurant? Probably.
As a the train stops in a station, Peter exits.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I bought the hat in the Indianapolis 500 in 2007. It triggers lots of cherished memories. I can't let it go.
Touching his head, Peter finds the hat with the words & device "Indianapolis 500 Est 1911" on it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What a stupid moment!
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Has life possessed me and shut my mind when I've cherished moments?
Act 3
INT. STUDY- 17: 00
A happy Peter picks up an old White "Yamaha" electric bass to play on the drum beat.
PETER (V.O.): Cherished moments happen when friends get together. I'm so happy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My accountant friends have taught me to be prudent to the extent of zero-tolerance.
The TV is broadcasting a documentary on Futurescape.
:PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Caltech is researching into genes creation that might re-define life.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Knowing that must be a cherished moment to my insurer.
