INT. BEDROOM - 23:00
Working before a laptop, PETER is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): I've many stories to tell about the dragon's embrace with the Cheung family.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My family used to visit my mother-in-law on the first day of the new year.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But she wasn't feeling well and asked us to postpone our visit until she got well.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): We respect her wish and give her the space she needs to rest and recover.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): So on the first day of the year of the Dragon, we didn't go anywhere.
Act 2
INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS
Peter prompts an AI drawing bot.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): On the second day of the new year, we used to gather in my Mom's home before visiting aunties#1 and #2.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Months ago, both my Mom and auntie#1 couldn't take care of themselves anymore.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): So, I suggested to auntie#2 that the Cheung family would gather at her home.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Auntie#2 was very delighted to play host.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But on new year's eve, my cousin advised that auntie#2 had an acute medical condition and was being hospitalized.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): So I changed the venue to a restaurant and booked initially one big table.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Then, I changed my booking to two tables and then three.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): When we're at the restaurant, we actually needed four big tables.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): The restaurant turned out to be a fantastic choice, as my Mom and auntie#1 could also join.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): All family members felt the occasion extra special.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And after the big family gathering, my wife, our younger daughter and I went to watch firework display before having a buffet dinner.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And at noon today, my family had Facetime with our elder daughter, her boyfriend and his mother. They're in Busan.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I learned how to say "Happy New Year to You" in Korean ie "saehae bog manh-i bad-euseyo".
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And then, I took the risk to swim in the Golden Bay. I worried that I might get hypothermia.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My main action item was to pay a visit to auntie#2 in hospital. I was glad to see she's getting relatively better.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): She has cheated death.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Afterwards, I returned to my NT home to manage my old cars.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): I found my parking lot lighted up in red as my red coupe's brake lamps were always on although I hadn't apply the brakes,
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Dragon's Embrace" to a text.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): A dragon is a mystical creature associated with strength and power. The world "embrace" suggests a warm and welcoming gesture.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): While I embrace the dragon's spirit to be powerful, brave and resilient, I treasure the connection and unity of the Cheung family.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I also embrace the dragon-like uniqueness within me.
