PETER (V.O.): Why is life so boring? That's the answer request.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Any experience that's predictable and repetitive becomes boring.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Quoran who asks me the question doesn't seem to be an old guy. Is he suffering from mental fatigue?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have the inclination to affirm or negative the assertion though.

FLASHBACK
EXT. ROADS TO NT - LATE MORNING (DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY)
Driving, Peter listens to the car radio. We hear someone is being interviewed.
PETER (V.O.): The singer talked about a 1979 story when he first began singing in Cantonese. Who's he?
Peter listens very carefully. We hear the reference to a song title:...陌上歸人...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, he's Albert Au.
FLASHBACK UPON FLASHBACK (BEFORE 1978)
INT. CAPTAIN'S TABLE - NIGHT
Peter, SHARON and VIVIEN are watching a young ALBERT AU singing.
PETER (V.O.): Sweet voice. He's gifted. I gave up my singing dream in Dec 1970.
Peter observes Sharon and Vivien.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're CUHK Music undergraduates. If they thought we should come to check it out, the singer must be something.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was the first and only time I watched him singing live.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sharon and I got married in 1979. She worked in the Music Office, teaching music theory, and I in the Housing Dept, doing squatter control.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We heard the nice song 陌上歸人. But song's title weren't in the lyrics.
We hear from the radio Albert Au thanking the composer Ricky Fung and the lyricist Cheng Kwok Kong...
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I don't know the melody was written by Ricky.

A. In 2013, at a Cultural Centre Piazza, Peter and Ricky are on stage playing guitars. Peter sings his song.
B. In 2014, at a Science Park Pavilion, Peter and Ricky are on stage playing guitars. Peter sings his song.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was fortunate enough to have Ricky's support.
Peter continues to listen to the radio very carefully.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Oh, 陌上歸人 was the theme song of a radio drama 陌上歸人. I didn't know such details.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was then very busy to equip myself. I was doing a part-time housing management course at HKU. If I didn't pass, I wouldn't be eligible for promotion.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sharon and I didn't hold a wedding banquet. We didn't take any honeymoon holidays. In fact, we didn't have the money.
We hearing the radio playing the song 陌上歸人.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): From Oct 5, 1979 to Aug 19, 1992, Sharon and I had many years of fun as wife and husband.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd:As we did it right, once is enough. That's how I've endured the unendurable.

INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
Peter checks one of his answers in Quora. And we see: What age is most challenging in life?
PETER (V.O.): I've no doubt that it's old age.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):My mind would like to be in my 20s. But my body remarks that's ridiculous.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Living to old age can't be taken for granted though. One has to be lucky.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One has to take a step back to see how fortunate one is.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If we attend to life's details, it can't be boring. How to practise the art of life is actually one's choice.
Peter types on his phone, responding to the Quoran's answer request,
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm fortunate enough that I can document the details of my life by myself.
